VND320-billion stopover to be built on North-South Expressway’s Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section

A 10ha-plus stopover will be built on the North-South Expressway’s Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section in Xuan Lam Commune of Phu Yen Province’s Song Cau Town with a total investment capital of almost VND320 billion, including more than VND5.4 billion for project site clearance.

On November 25, the Ministry of Transport’s Project Management Unit 85 announced an invitation for investors to bid on the stopover project.

The project is scheduled to be completed within 15 months, with public infrastructure expected to be finished within nine months.

The stopover will have parking lots, rest areas, temporary driver accommodations, restrooms, information centers, rescue staff stations, and traffic accident first aid centers.

It will also have catering service and beverage areas, stores, fuel stations, electric vehicle charging stations, vehicle maintenance and repair workshops, car wash facilities, restaurants, entertainment areas, and playgrounds for children.

The Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section construction project commenced construction in January 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025. The 62km route, excluding the 5.1km Cu Mong Tunnel section, is being built with a total capital of almost VND15 trillion. It includes over 42km in Phu Yen Province and nearly 20km in Binh Dinh Province./.
