Proud achievements

Van Dien Fused Phosphate Fertilizer Factory was built in the early 1960s in the context of building material facilities to support the war in the country’s southern region according to the Resolution of the 3rd Party Congress.

VADFCO products are of good quality and environmentally friendly

In 1961, the factory basically completed the construction of main workshops. In the last months of the year, the factory produced 6,600 tonnes of fused phosphate fertilizer, equivalent to 80 percent of the designated capacity, which was a very proud achievement of the factory at the time.

After the country was reunified, in order to achieve the target of producing 21 million tonnes of food according to the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress, an additional blast furnace with a capacity of 50,000 tonnes a year was built, raising the total capacity of the factory to 90,000 tonnes a year.

Strong development

After going through many difficulties, in 2010, the company officially switched to a joint stock company. In June 2015, VADFCO was officially listed on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) with the code VAF. Equitization has created a strong boost for the company in production and business activities as it entered a new phase of development.

By adopting a comprehensive and flexible strategy based on scientific and technological advances, VADFCO actively promoted research and developed new products, helping improve its competitiveness and promptly respond to diverse needs of the market. The company also strictly complied and applied the ISO 9001 - 2008 quality management system to produce new, high-quality fertilizer products to adapt to climate change such as: anti-acid, anti-alum, anti-drought fertilizers...

Currently, the company’s production capacity has reached 450,000 tonnes a year, including 300,000 tonnes of fused phosphate fertilizer and 150,000 tonnes of NPK fertilizer. Its products are of good quality, environmentally friendly, and are widely sold nationwide and exported to demanding markets such as Japan, Australia, Malaysia, France, and more.

Thanks to its achievement over the past 60 years, the company was awarded the title “Heroic Unit” twice, second- and third-class Independence Order, and many other labor noble orders for collectives and individuals.
