At the invitation of President Luong Cuong, President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and his spouse are on an official visit to Vietnam from November 24 to 28. This is the first visit to Vietnam by a Bulgarian president in 11 years, and also the first trip to the Southeast Asian country by President Radev.

This visit holds significant importance as it marks the first official trip by a Vietnamese leader to the Dominican Republic, taking place ahead of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations (July 7, 2005 – July 7, 2025).
