Leaving a strong imprint on people and businesses

Addressing the ceremony, the Prime Minister stressed that after 12 vibrant, enthusiastic and colorful days at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, Hanoi, the First Glorious Spring Fair 2026 was solemnly concluded in the joyful atmosphere ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year.

He noted that the fair vividly portrayed the vitality of the nation’s economic and consumer flows in the early days of the year; left a deep impression on people and the business community; strongly spread the spirit of innovation, creativity, solidarity and integration; and conveyed messages of aspiration, confidence and hope for a prosperous and thriving new year in a new era.

“As expected at the opening ceremony, the First Glorious Spring Fair 2026, themed ‘Connecting prosperity - Welcoming a glorious spring,’ went beyond the framework of a mere trade promotion activity to become a resounding ‘opening drumbeat,’ heralding a favorable beginning and new opportunities for the country through impressive outcomes,” the Prime Minister stated.

After 12 days of operation, despite unfavorable weather conditions, including cold spells and rain, and amid the rapid development of e-commerce, the fair welcomed more than 500,000 visitors from provinces and cities nationwide, along with numerous international delegations who came to visit, shop and explore trade cooperation.

With more than 3,000 booths and tens of thousands of outstanding products from across the country, the fair created a distinctive cultural and artistic space, fully capturing the vibrant atmosphere of a spring festival and the warmth of Tet. It opened up a cross-country spring journey featuring diverse experiential, cultural and culinary activities, harmoniously combining folk and traditional values with modern elements.

According to the Prime Minister, the greatest achievement of the First Glorious Spring Fair was connectivity: connecting supply and demand; linking businesses with one another; bridging consumers with producers and traders; connecting spiritual and material cultural values; and serving as a venue for shopping, signing trade and investment contracts, and promoting the boom of e-commerce in the context of digital and green transformation.

On behalf of the Government, he acknowledged and highly appreciated the responsible, dedicated and creative engagement, as well as the enthusiastic participation and support, of ministries, sectors, localities, the business community, particularly Vingroup, together with people nationwide, organizations and international friends, whose contributions ensured the success of the First Glorious Spring Fair 2026, described as a vibrant “symphony ushering in spring” and a “seed nurturing prosperity” sown with confidence and hope in the early days of the new year in a new era.

The success of the First Glorious Spring Fair 2026 was reflected not only in positive economic and trade outcomes but also in its profound cultural and social impact. It served as vivid evidence affirming national internal strength, the power of trust, solidarity and the aspiration for self-reliance and resilience of the entire nation.

The Prime Minister underlined that the fair had proven to be an effective channel for stimulating domestic consumption, one of the key growth drivers, and a dynamic bridge linking domestic and international trade. It demonstrated the strong transformation, rising aspirations and expanding presence of Vietnamese goods and brands on the global trade map, reflected in positive feedback, high evaluations and new export opportunities from partners.

The fair also reaffirmed the vitality of the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods,” highlighting the trust, pride and strong preference of domestic and international consumers for national products of superior quality, modern design and high intellectual content.

The First Glorious Spring Fair 2026 was not merely a venue connecting consumer demand with goods and services, but also a place fostering solidarity among people through the enduring bond of national unity. It served as an ideal cultural exchange destination, preserving joyful springtime moments and hopes for a flourishing and prosperous new year among visitors and shoppers.

Its success further affirmed the fair’s distinctive brand and core values: gathering high-quality regional specialties and products that are modern in design yet rich in cultural identity; resolutely combating counterfeit, imitation and substandard goods while upholding community-oriented values; serving as a bridge between traditional culture and modern economic thinking; and functioning as a strategic space directly connecting businesses with consumers and domestic partners with foreign counterparts to build a sustainable, green and modern trade ecosystem.

Moreover, the event demonstrated Vietnam’s confidence in advancing toward organizing trade fairs of regional and international stature. The presence of international business delegations reflected that Vietnam’s market is an attractive, safe and promising destination for investors, ready to welcome high-quality capital flows and green, sustainable consumption trends.

“This achievement stems from the sound leadership of the Party, the decisive and flexible governance of the Government, and the engagement of the entire political system, people and business community under the spirit of ‘Party leadership - State governance - public-private partnership - business pioneering - national development - people’s happiness,’” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Turning “spring opportunities” into year-round success

Although the First Glorious Spring Fair 2026 has concluded, it stands as a spirited and proud “greeting to spring,” affirming that the country is entering a new development phase with proactive readiness to seize major opportunities for breakthrough growth.

To maximize the fair’s outcomes and turn “spring opportunities” into achievements for the entire year, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to take the lead in reviewing and evaluating the fair’s effectiveness and drawing valuable lessons. The ministry was urged to formulate strategies to further implement the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” in the new context, shifting consumer mindset from “prioritizing” to “trusting” and “taking pride in” Vietnamese goods.

Ministries, sectors, Party committees and authorities at all levels were asked to introduce mechanisms and policies to continuously improve the quality of Vietnamese goods; maintain the smooth flow of goods; sustain domestic purchasing power growth; and directly contribute to local and national economic growth targets. With the Lunar New Year approaching, they were also required to strengthen market inspection and supervision, ensure adequate supply of essential goods and prevent substandard products from entering the market, resolutely combating counterfeit and imitation goods.

The business community was called upon to remain at the forefront of science and technology development, innovation and digital and green transformation; to uphold business culture as a foundation, entrepreneurial ethics as a guiding principle and humanistic values as the core; to resolutely fight counterfeit and low-quality goods; and to conquer global markets with products of superior quality, international standards, high competitiveness and distinctive Vietnamese intellectual identity.

For international friends and partners, the Government of Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to creating the most favorable, transparent and equitable business environment possible. The Prime Minister called on them to continue serving as reliable partners and strategic bridges bringing high-quality capital, core technologies and green governance to Vietnam, thereby expanding cooperation space for peace and shared prosperity in the region and the world.

He also urged consumers to further promote patriotism, national pride and self-respect in their daily consumption behavior, becoming responsible and discerning consumers who support Vietnamese goods with both sentiment and reason, demanding high standards and strict quality supervision to help build strong Vietnamese brands.

“All of us must join hands, unlock all resources, seize every opportunity and create new values to realize our aspiration for national development, ensuring that every citizen benefits from and shares in the fruits of the country’s prosperity,” the Prime Minister affirmed.

As a new spring arrives across the nation, the First Glorious Spring Fair 2026 symbolizes hopes for warmth and abundance, opening a door of confidence and aspiration. With new momentum and opportunities in a new era, guided by the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that, through unity and collective strength of the entire Party, people and armed forces, Vietnam will successfully achieve the goals of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, equity and civilization, steering the country steadily through challenges to stand alongside major powers across the continents.

The First Glorious Spring fair 2026, a national-scale trade promotion event, was held from February 2 to February 13, 2026 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, Hanoi.
