On this occasion, KIGCP organized the program “Taste Europe 2024 - tradition and quality” in Ho Chi Minh City with the support of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

The promotion program “Taste Europe 2024” is an annual program to support Polish enterprises operating in the fields of agriculture and F&B to find new partners and develop international markets.
The “Taste Europe” program promotes European food products and is implemented by a consortium of two Polish organizations: The Association of Butchers and Meat Processors of Poland (leader) and the National Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Groups. The project aims to promote beef and pork (fresh, chilled, frozen) as well as apples and their products. The activities target consumers, distributors, importers in Japan, Vietnam, and Singapore. The promotion focuses on organizing meetings and effective communication to highlight the unique features of European food, emphasizing its exceptional taste, high quality, production safety standards, favorable climatic and cultivation conditions, and advanced breeding methods in line with animal welfare principles. Food production in the European Union adheres to international quality and production standards such as HACCP, GMP, GHP, GAP, ISO, ensuring high quality and safety of products.
The “Taste Europe” project is part of long-standing promotional effort, showcasing a wide range of food products under the motto “Enjoy! It’s from Europe”. Leveraging extensive experience in promoting safety, quality, taste, culinary value, and nutrinional benefits of products from the European Union, this project effectively builds the international reputation of the European brand, inviting engagement with European flavors.
This is a good opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to update information on the Polish food and beverage industry and seek potential import partners.
Trade between Poland and Vietnam in recent years has been mainly in the agricultural and food sector. In September 2023, Vietnam granted import licenses for beef from Poland. The project called “Polish beef and pork in Vietnam” was developed and implemented by leading associations representing Polish meat and meat products producers and distributors.
Poland is always interested in promoting trade with Vietnam in the agricultural, food and beverage sectors, while creating conditions for businesses of both sides to build a sustainable relationship. From Polish businesses's perspective, the EVFTA is very important. Free trade agreements like this have facilitated trade between the parties by gradually removing import and export taxes and simplifying licensing procedures. Regulations on the process of determining origin will also be synchronized.
Over the years, the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Poland has been continuously strengthened in all areas, especially trade and investment relations. In particular, the two countries are actively implementing many activities towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Poland (1950-2025).
Regarding trade relations, the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Poland in 2023 reached over 5 billion euros. Regarding investment relations, Poland ranked 35th out of 146 countries and territories investing in Vietnam with 31 projects; total registered capital of over USD465 million. Despite many positive results, the trade and investment relations between Vietnam and Poland have not yet developed commensurate with the potential of the bilateral relationship. Therefore, the two countries have agreed to soon elevate the bilateral relationship to a new level in the coming time.
