Bac Ninh City: Stable trade growth

(VEN) - It is estimated that in 2024, the total retail sales of goods and services in Bac Ninh City (Bac Ninh Province) will reach VND44.105 trillion, an increase of 8.3 percent compared to 2023.

The commodity market in Bac Ninh City remains stable, ensuring a balance between supply and demand

In recent years, the infrastructure for services, trade, and tourism in Bac Ninh City has continued to improve. Currently, the city is home to 3 shopping malls, 25 supermarkets, nearly 140 convenience stores, and a system of markets developed through socialization. Trade and services in the city have been steadily recovering and expanding, effectively meeting the entertainment, leisure, and shopping needs of residents.

In 2024, the total retail sales of goods and services in Bac Ninh City are estimated to reach over VND44.100 trillion, equivalent to 100.3 percent of the annual plan, an increase of 8.3 percent compared to 2023, and accounting for nearly 50 percent of the province's total value.

Currently, relevant authorities are working to review potential streets for trade and services to develop them into business and nightlife areas. Three night streets are being launched and put into operation, including Dam Van Le Street in Van Duong and Nam Son Wards, and Ngoc Han Cong Chua and Nguyen Cao Streets in Ninh Xa and Vo Cuong Wards. These areas will focus on food and beverage services, entertainment activities, with enhanced service quality and scale. Numerous restaurants with spacious locations will be established, offering both casual and upscale dining options to cater to residents and visitors, especially the thousands of foreign workers living and working in the city.

To enhance the effectiveness of investment attraction and the development of trade and services, Bac Ninh City will continue to maximize all resources to rapidly develop socioeconomic infrastructure. The city encourages investment and focuses on developing e-commerce to contribute to promoting the digital economy. Efforts will be made to create favorable conditions and attract investment in the development of trade and service infrastructure, such as shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, and entertainment areas./.
