The inaugural Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 is not only a venue for displaying and introducing products but also a major networking event for domestic and international enterprises and organizations.
At the international pavilion, the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AusCham) participated as a bridge, providing information about Vietnam’s investment environment, business support policies, and directions for expanding bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Australia.
A reporter from the Industry and Trade Newspaper had an interview with Edwin Law, Executive Director of AusCham Vietnam, regarding the goals, expectations, and prospects for business cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.

How do you assess the role and significance of the inaugural Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 in promoting trade between enterprises?
Edwin Law: I find that the inaugural Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 has been organized very professionally. The information provided to exhibitors was clear and detailed. We received great support from the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, and we encountered no difficulties during registration, participation, or booth setup and decoration.
We believe this fair is an excellent opportunity for businesses to promote their brands and connect with potential partners. New partnerships may be established between Vietnamese and Australian enterprises, or even with companies from other countries participating in this event.
What information or cooperation opportunities does AusCham bring to the Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025?
Edwin Law: AusCham Vietnam represents the Australian business community in Vietnam, including both enterprises already operating in the country and those exploring investment opportunities here. We support businesses in implementing business plans, connecting with partners, and providing updates on regulations and policies.
In addition, AusCham serves as a bridge between the business community and the Governments of Vietnam and Australia, helping to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
We participate in this fair with the desire to further promote AusCham’s role and to present the opportunities we can offer to the wider business community.
What is your assessment of the role of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia in connecting trade between the two countries, both in general and at this fair in particular?
Edwin Law: The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia plays a crucial role in fostering and connecting trade between our two countries. Through its extensive network and deep understanding of the markets, the Trade Office not only assists Australian enterprises in accessing business opportunities in Vietnam but also helps Vietnamese businesses better understand the Australian market.

Moreover, it serves as an effective bridge between the private sector and government agencies in both countries, helping to remove barriers, promote trade and investment cooperation, and build a foundation for long-term partnerships.
We truly appreciate the introduction and support from the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, which has allowed us to participate in this fair and convey messages and activities that promote business cooperation between enterprises from both countries. We hope that events like this will be organized more frequently in the future.
How do you view Vietnam’s investment environment and the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the future?
Edwin Law: We assess Vietnam’s investment and business environment as increasingly open and attractive to international investors. Vietnam and Australia share strong cooperation potential, particularly in sectors such as education, healthcare, medical services, and various service industries.
The Vietnamese Government is implementing significant and effective reforms, including restructuring the state apparatus, streamlining management systems, and enhancing governance efficiency.
At AusCham Vietnam, we stand ready to work closely with government agencies, especially the Ministry of Industry and Trade, through the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, to further strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations between the two nations.
Thank you very much for your time!
