
Stronger inter-agency coordination needed to drive export market growth

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Vietnam always values and seeks to continuously strengthen the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Russian Federation.

The Prime Minister valued the group’s rapid development and its timely engagement with major Vietnamese corporations and enterprises in recent times. He encouraged AFK Sistema to expand investment in Vietnam and called on businesses from both sides to deepen cooperation in a more effective and substantive manner, contributing to the realization of agreements reached by senior leaders.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Government supports enterprises of the two countries in establishing direct partnerships and enhancing cooperation in areas where Russia has strengths and Vietnam has significant demand, including database construction and connectivity, information technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, pharmaceuticals, peaceful nuclear energy, telecommunications, and the development of the digital asset market in Vietnam. He also highlighted the promotion of projects involving underground and outer space exploration, including metro development in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as tourism cooperation.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister noted that Vietnam is preparing to roll out a national single-window investment mechanism. He instructed relevant ministries and agencies to support the group in implementing cooperation activities and in trade and investment promotion in Vietnam.
Thanking Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for the meeting, Vladimir Petrovich Evtushenkov said that AFK Sistema is the largest private conglomerate in the Russian Federation, employing around 300,000 people.
He noted that the group is pursuing a strategy to strengthen partnerships and investments with Asia-Pacific countries, with Vietnam consistently regarded as a trusted destination and partner.
Building on the strong traditional friendship between the two countries, Vladimir Petrovich Evtushenkov spoke highly of the cooperation potential with Vietnamese enterprises and affirmed efforts to advance collaboration in the areas highlighted by the Prime Minister.
He also expressed the group’s desire to increase localization rates and confirmed its readiness to transfer technology and provide structured training for Vietnamese personnel, aiming to deliver long-term efficiency and mutual benefits.
Founded in 1993 in Moscow, AFK Sistema invests domestically and internationally across telecommunications, digital services, high technology, e-commerce, healthcare, timber processing and wooden housing construction, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and hospitality services. The group aims to become a leading global high-tech investment fund in the future.
