Kuehne+Nagel and the LEGO Group have expanded their global logistics partnership with the opening of a new Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Dong Nai, Vietnam. The facility is designed to anchor LEGO’s supply chain in the Asia-Pacific region, supporting the company’s long-term growth and sustainability strategy.
Kuehne+Nagel and LEGO opened a new Regional Distribution Center in Dong Nai, Vietnam.
The new hub will distribute products manufactured at LEGO’s newest factory in Ho Chi Minh City to key markets including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan, with further expansion to India, Indonesia, and additional countries in 2026. Kuehne+Nagel will oversee the entire logistics operation, from transportation and customs clearance to bonded warehousing, sea freight, and regional distribution.
“The new regional distribution center in Dong Nai will play a crucial role in enabling shorter and more flexible supply chains,” said P. Venkatram, Vice President of Supply Chain APAC–China at the LEGO Group. “Our strong partnership with Kuehne+Nagel helps us bring the joy of learning through play to millions of children across the region.”
Spanning 10,200 m², the facility includes bonded warehousing, dedicated packing zones, and value-added services. By 2026, it is expected to handle over 150 containers per week, provide storage for 33,000 pallets, and expand up to 16,360 m².
“This collaboration reflects our joint commitment to operational excellence and long-term sustainability,” said Bjoern Traemann, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel Vietnam. “We support LEGO’s supply chain goals with sustainable solutions such as Sustainable Marine Fuel for all global container shipments and electric vehicles for last-mile delivery.”
Certified LEED Gold, the Dong Nai facility is equipped with solar panels and smart energy meters to improve efficiency and cut emissions. It is LEGO’s fifth regional distribution center worldwide and its second in the Asia-Pacific, complementing an existing hub in Shanghai, China. In 2024, LEGO also opened a center in Tessenderlo, Belgium, operated by Kuehne+Nagel, to serve European customers.
