At the event, Deputy Minister Luong Hoang Thai said the Viet Nam Value Program has been implemented for 23 years, with coordination among ministries, sectors and localities and active participation from the business community nationwide. Consistently upholding its three core values of “Quality - Innovation and Creativity - Pioneering Capacity,” the Program has helped inspire aspirations to build strong brands and bring Vietnamese intelligence, resilience and creativity to international markets.

According to Brand Finance, the value of the Viet Nam national brand reached USD 462.279 billion in 2026, up 45.14% from 2020, ranking 32nd among 193 countries assessed. During the 2020 - 2026 period, the proportion of enterprises with Viet Nam Value-recognized products among Viet Nam’s 50 most valuable brands increased from 42% to 50%. In the top 10 alone in 2026, five enterprises had products recognized under the Program, accounting for approximately 69.1% of the group’s total value. These are encouraging results that demonstrate the strength and growing maturity of Vietnamese brands.

On behalf of the Viet Nam Value Council, the Deputy Minister congratulated enterprises whose products received recognition this year and wished them continued robust development, further promotion of the value and reputation of Viet Nam Value, and new achievements in the years ahead.

As Viet Nam works towards the goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045 in accordance with the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, national brand building holds strategic significance in affirming the country’s identity and standing. In line with this orientation, the Program will continue to promote cultural values in brand building, enhance product quality through science, technology and innovation, while strengthening linkages with economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy and international cooperation. In this way, every Vietnamese brand that expands its global presence will contribute to promoting the image of a Viet Nam rich in identity, dynamism and creativity.

“To translate this orientation into concrete action, the MoIT will continue coordinating with ministries, sectors, localities and associations to support enterprises after recognition, with a focus on brand management and protection, digital transformation and green transition, while linking trade promotion with market expansion,” Deputy Minister Luong Hoang Thai emphasized.

The Deputy Minister also called on enterprises with Viet Nam Value-recognized products to continue playing a pioneering role, strengthen cooperation and share their experience. Given the resilience and innovative spirit of Vietnamese entrepreneurs, he expressed confidence that the enterprises would continue to affirm their standing through product quality, business reputation and social responsibility.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Secretariat of the Viet Nam Value Program, Hoang Minh Chien, Deputy Director of the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency, provided an overview of the selection process for this year’s edition.

Accordingly, the 10th selection process was conducted as the Program’s legal framework and criteria system continued to be refined. A notable change is that the new criteria place greater emphasis on enterprises’ innovation and creativity capacity. Of the total score of 1,000 points, the score allocated to the Innovation and Creativity criteria was increased from 180 to 300 points, equivalent to 30% of the total. The adjustment underscores the importance of research and development, the application of science and technology, intellectual property, digital transformation, the green economy and human resource development. As a result, the selection process links product quality with enterprises’ capacity to innovate, adapt and build long-term competitive advantages.

Regarding implementation, since late 2025, the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency has coordinated with ministries, sectors, localities, industry associations, trade promotion organizations and media agencies to provide information, raise awareness and guide enterprises participating in the selection process. These activities attracted more than 1,000 enterprises interested in, seeking information about and registering for participation.

The selection process was carried out in accordance with the Program’s regulations and the criteria system applicable to 2026, closely following the three core values of “Quality - Innovation and Creativity - Pioneering Capacity.” The process combined dossier assessment with the verification of information from competent authorities and on-site appraisal where necessary.

Providing further information on this year’s selection results, Hoang Minh Chien said that following the receipt and review of dossiers and the assessment and appraisal process based on the Program’s criteria, 499 products from 227 enterprises were recognized as Viet Nam Value products.

The recognized products span a wide range of industries and sectors, including processing and manufacturing; agriculture and food; pharmaceuticals and medical equipment; finance and banking; telecommunications and technology; transport and logistics; trade; and services. This diversity shows that the foundation for Vietnamese brand development is being built across both goods production and service provision, ranging from traditional industries to technology-driven sectors.

“The significance of the selection results should be viewed in terms of the quality and reach of the recognized brands. Each Viet Nam Value product should help strengthen customer confidence in Vietnamese goods and services through consistent quality, business reputation and corporate responsibility,” Hoang Minh Chien said.

Participation in the selection process also provides enterprises with an opportunity to review their management capacity, innovation activities, intellectual property protection and compliance with legal obligations. These constitute practical foundations for enterprises to enhance their competitiveness and meet the increasingly stringent requirements of domestic and international markets.

“Recognition also entails a responsibility to continue upholding the values that have been assessed. We expect enterprises to promote their pioneering role within their respective industries, invest in quality, technology, human resources and sustainable development, use the Viet Nam Value logo in accordance with regulations, and ensure that brand promotion is aligned with the actual capabilities of their products,” Hoang Minh Chien added.

On the sidelines of the event, Dr. Nguyen Quang Thai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai Minh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, said he was very proud that five Thai Minh products had received Viet Nam Value recognition in 2026. He also pledged that the company would continue making substantial investments while maintaining product quality and its reputation so as not to undermine the standing of its Viet Nam Value-recognized products.

Similarly, Le Viet, General Director of Southern Steel One Member Company Limited - VNSTEEL, said the continued recognition of the company’s products under the Viet Nam Value Program was, first and foremost, an acknowledgement of the quality and reputation built by generations of its employees. This helps strengthen the confidence of customers, contractors and partners when choosing Southern Steel products, while providing motivation for the enterprise to continue maintaining stable quality, improving production efficiency and enhancing customer service.
