This year’s edition reflects the rapid digital transformation underway across China’s safety and security market. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, interconnected monitoring systems, and data-driven surveillance platforms are increasingly being integrated into urban management, industrial operations, and emergency-response systems.

According to Edward Che - General Manager, Messe Frankfurt (HK), digitalisation is reshaping how traditionally separate safety systems interact, allowing them to operate within more intelligent and connected frameworks. He noted that the exhibition serves as a platform where international expertise and advanced technologies converge to support the development of smarter and more resilient safety ecosystems.

The exhibition floor presents a broad range of innovations, including AI-powered monitoring systems, intelligent command platforms, advanced fire-protection equipment, scalable detection technologies, and integrated surveillance solutions. In the International Zone, overseas companies are introducing products ranging from precision fire-safety valves to intelligent video analytics systems.

At the same time, major Chinese enterprises such as Beijing Guodian Gaoke Technology Co Ltd, Fujian BelFone Communications Technology, Inrico Technologies Co Ltd, Raythink Technology Co Ltd, TYT Electronics Co Ltd, and Shenzhen Diamante Technology Co Ltd are demonstrating China’s growing capabilities in intelligent safety manufacturing. Their exhibits focus on areas including optoelectronics, integrated low-voltage systems, and smart screening technologies, underscoring China’s expanding role within the global safety industry.

International cooperation and digital Intelligence take centre stage

Intersec Shanghai 2026 has also strengthened its international profile, attracting participants from multiple regions through the global network of Messe Frankfurt. The exhibition provides companies with opportunities to connect with overseas buyers, establish strategic partnerships, and explore emerging market opportunities in the safety and security sector.

Among this year’s international participants is the Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank, which is seeking AI-based video surveillance and operational safety technologies. The European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also organised buyer delegations from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, highlighting growing global demand for integrated safety solutions.

Meanwhile, Germany’s VdS is leading a delegation focused on operational and physical safety technologies, with participation from companies including Dahua, Siemens, Siterwell, and Wizmart. Delegations and participants from Germany, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Singapore, and South Korea further demonstrate the exhibition’s growing international reach.

Alongside the exhibition, nearly 30 summits, forums, and networking events are being held to promote dialogue on safety management, emergency response, firefighting technologies, and digital security applications.

One of the key forums, the “Comprehensive Applications Powering Connected Safety: International Safety Industry Ecosystem Cooperation Summit”, examines global safety scenarios, policy trends, and technological breakthroughs shaping both Chinese and international markets. Experts from organisations including the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Telecom, VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH, and Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co Ltd are discussing how cooperation across sectors can accelerate practical implementation of intelligent safety technologies.

Another major event, the “Resilient Infrastructure & Satellite Solutions”: Space-Ground Integrated Safety Application Innovation Forum, focuses on the growing role of remote sensing and satellite communications in emergency communications, environmental monitoring, urban safety, and infrastructure protection. Companies including Space Star Technology, Shenzhen MagiXpace Technology, and Chengdu Timestars are presenting solutions linked to satellite internet development and integrated emergency-management systems.

The exhibition also hosts the annual a&s Top Digital Products & Solutions Award Presentation Ceremony, recognising outstanding innovations in safety, security, and fire-prevention technologies. In parallel, the conference titled “Digital Intelligence Empowers Safety, Scenarios Lead the Future” gathers experts from China and overseas to discuss workplace safety, energy resilience, cybersecurity, and intelligent building protection.
