More rural industrial products recognized at the national level
According to Decision No.2568/QD-BCT dated September 15, 2025, by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ca Mau has one product set and three individual products recognized and awarded certificates as national-level outstanding rural industrial (RI) products in 2025.

Industrial promotion in Ca Mau facilitates rural industrial facilities in applying machinery to production.
Under current regulations, a national-level outstanding RI product retains its recognition until December 31 of the fourth year after certification. During this period, these products are entitled to various incentives, including the right to use the national RI product logo, priority access to financial support from national and local industrial promotion funds, assistance in production expansion, technology innovation, and capacity enhancement. They also receive trade promotion support through exhibitions, media publicity under the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s channels, and brand development assistance in packaging and website design.
The recognition of these products as national-level outstanding RI products has opened up new development prospects for local enterprises, enabling them to expand their markets, scale up production, and strengthen long-term sustainability.
Fostering green, sustainable craft and cottage industries
In recent years, Ca Mau has made significant progress in industrial promotion and rural industrial development. The province has effectively implemented activities under Government Decree No.45/2012/ND-CP on industrial promotion, selectively building on achievements from 2021 - 2025, while aligning with local socio-economic development plans. It has focused on maximizing rural industrial potential, supporting facilities in developing high-value and environmentally friendly products.
Local authorities have also accelerated the growth of industry and handicrafts. Industrial promotion programs have provided support in the form of technology investment, technical consultancy, human resource training, and trade promotion, helping rural industrial facilities grow more dynamically. This approach has become an important catalyst for provincial industrialization, particularly in rural areas, creating jobs and ensuring sustainable resource use.

The industrial promotion program strengthens the position of Ca Mau’s rural industrial products.
Enterprises are encouraged to make the most of government policies, expand production, and adopt advanced machinery and clean production practices to meet the demands of domestic and foreign markets. The goal is to create high-quality products, generate stable employment for local workers, and promote sustainable green growth.
Recently, the Ca Mau People’s Committee approved the 2026 - 2030 Industrial Promotion Program, assigning the provincial Department of Industry and Trade to lead its implementation. The program aims to promote industrial and handicraft development along green, sustainable, and digital directions, with a focus on deep processing of key local products.
Between 2026 and 2030, Ca Mau targets to support at least 58 rural industrial establishments through industrial promotion funding; increase the proportion of deep-processed products from agriculture, forestry, and fisheries to over 20%; reduce raw material and fuel consumption in production by at least 15%; and create jobs for over 1,000 rural workers. The province also expects supported facilities to raise their average revenue by more than 20%, and aims to select over 50 provincial-level, 30 regional-level, and 10 national-level outstanding RI products.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the next phase will focus on developing and replicating technical demonstration models, promoting technology transfer and innovation based on science, technology, and digital transformation. Priority will be given to supporting the manufacturing, agricultural and seafood processing, construction materials, and handicraft industries.
During 2026 - 2030, Ca Mau will enhance trade promotion activities to strengthen the competitiveness of rural industrial and handicraft products. The province will also promote domestic markets for outstanding rural industrial products and local specialties, contributing to the overall development of the rural economy.
