Right from the early days of 2025, coal industry sites, including construction areas, workshops, mining fields, tunnels, and ports, are bustling with a vibrant competitive atmosphere. With high determination, units and companies are striving to meet their production and business targets for each shift, day, and month.

At Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company, on the morning of February 1 (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year), the company launched its New Year production operations in a vibrant competitive spirit. On the first working day of 2025, all production units simultaneously started operations during the first shift. The average employee turnout exceeded 90 percent, creating an enthusiastic and energetic production atmosphere.

Right after the launch ceremony, production teams at various mining sites removed 130,000cu.m of waste rock, produced 12,000 tonnes of coal, and sold 18,000 tonnes of coal. In 2024, thanks to decisive and effective management measures, Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company successfully achieved all production and business targets. Specifically, it removed over 58 million cu.m of waste rock, fulfilling 100 percent of the annual plan. The company’s coal production reached 5.15 million tonnes, equivalent to 100.4 percent of the annual plan, including over 4 million tonnes of raw coal, meeting 100 percent of the plan. Coal sales reached 5.108 million tonnes, equivalent to108.7 percent of the annual plan. The average monthly salary of the company’s staff and workers reached VND16.6 million per person, equivalent to 106.7 percent of the annual plan.

These results lay the foundation for the company to set ambitious targets for 2025. Specifically, the company aims to achieve the following targets for 2025: waste rock removal to reach 60 million cubic meters; coal production to reach 4.7 million tonnes, including 4 million tonnes of raw coal; and total coal sales to reach 4.66 million tonnes.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, units across the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group proactively managed resource administration, mining boundary control, and the protection of key targets, facilities, assets, and worker residential areas, ensuring security and safety. They also provided care for workers, enabling them to enjoy a warm and joyful Lunar New Year holiday with their families. All units maintained 100 percent operational readiness, ensuring production shifts, coal processing, and preparation of coal supplies. They also made necessary preparations for ventilation and drainage systems to enable immediate production resumption after the holiday.
