Alma Resort secures a place among the Top Five Best Resorts in Southeast Asia and is one of only two Vietnamese properties included in this year’s list.
The results of the 2026 World’s Best Awards were announced on 7 July. Now in their 31st year, the awards invite Travel + Leisure readers to rate their favourite travel experiences across a wide range of categories, including hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise lines and airlines. More than 207,000 readers participated in the 2026 survey, casting over 661,000 votes for more than 10,000 travel properties and experiences. According to Travel + Leisure, exceptional service that turns first-time visitors into returning guests is a defining characteristic shared by this year’s winners.
Herbert Laubichler-Pichler, Managing Director of Alma Resort Cam Ranh and a two-time recipient of the "Vietnam's Best General Manager" title at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific (2024 and 2026), said: "Being named among Southeast Asia's top five resorts, and one of only two in Vietnam to make this year's list, is a proud moment for our team. It also reflects the growing strength of Vietnam's hospitality sector on the world stage. It's a recognition we're proud to build on, welcoming families to a holiday home shaped by the warmth and authenticity of Vietnamese hospitality."
Alma’s inclusion among Southeast Asia’s leading resorts reflects the continued appeal of its integrated resort model. Designed as a destination where multiple generations can holiday together, the resort combines a wide range of on-site facilities with experiences that encourage family connection while allowing guests to tailor their stays to their own interests.
The recognition also highlights the growing international profile of Cam Ranh as a resort destination and Vietnam’s increasing ability to deliver hospitality experiences that resonate with travellers from around the world.
The latest accolade follows Alma’s strong performance in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2024, when the resort was ranked the No. 1 resort in Southeast Asia, No. 2 in Asia and No. 9 worldwide, with a reader score of 99.2.
