The air route, the first of its kind between Viet Nam and Northern Europe, will operate three weekly round-trip flights on the wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Flights will depart from Ho Chi Minh City on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while return flights from the Danish capital will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The air route marks a milestone in connecting Viet Nam with Denmark and serves as a key air link between Southeast Asia and Northern Europe, said Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Viet Nam Airlines.
The national carrier hopes that the new route aims to meet the rising demand for tourism, family visits, or trade between Viet Nam and Denmark, where there are over 70,000 Vietnamese people living and working..
This year, Viet Nam Airlines plans to launch and resume 15 international routes to key markets such as Italy, Russia, China, the UAE, Japan, South Korea, India, and more.
Currently, in Europe, the carrier is operating direct flights to the UK, France, Germany, and Russia. Starting from early July, the national carrier will also open a new route from Ha Noi to Milan (Italy)./.
