With majestic landscapes and poetic, lyrical natural beauty, Tam Chuc is also considered by many feng shui experts to be a sacred land because of its “leaning on the mountain, facing the water” terrain. The Tam Chuc pagoda complex is hidden in a complex of flooded limestone mountains. Current Tam Chuc Pagoda was rebuilt on the foundation of ancient Tam Chuc Pagoda dating back over 1,000 years. The Tam Chuc festival is restored according to ancient stories 1,000 years ago on the pilgrimage route connecting the heritage of Golden Pagoda - Trang An - Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - Bai Dinh Pagoda - Van Long (Ninh Binh) - Dong Tam Pagoda (Hoa Binh) - Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam) - Huong Pagoda - Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Hanoi).
