Bringing together nearly 100 exemplary companies, the “National Startups” exhibition space highlights the prominent role of private enterprises.

Rekindling national pride

As the country prepares to mark the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the nationwide Exhibition on Socio-Economic Achievements, themed “Radiant Vietnam - 80 Years of Independence, Freedom, Happiness”, has become a focal event attracting widespread attention from both businesses and the public.

Held from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center, the event is not only an occasion to revisit history but also a platform to honor the contribution of the Industry and Trade sector to the nation’s development.

A highlight of the exhibition is the “National Startups” area, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Spanning 1.9 hectares, it has brought together nearly 100 private enterprises, showcasing their active participation and significant contribution to the sector’s achievements.

Speaking to reporters, Vu Ba Phu, Director General of the Trade Promotion Agency, said the ministry was tasked with organizing two main areas at the exhibition. The first, “Development and Construction”, presents the achievements of the Industry and Trade sector over 80 years, from the early days of resistance to the industrialization and modernization era. The second, “National Startups,” honors the role of the private sector, in line with Resolution 68 of the Politburo.

“In the 'National Startups' section under our agency’s responsibility, we invited leading enterprises, reputable exporters, and national brands. The core message is to affirm the role of the private sector in the national economy and its contribution to 80 years of the country’s development", Vu Ba Phu emphasized.

The exhibition space is designed around the brand identity and colors of the Vietnam National Brand Program, aimed at promoting trusted products and the national image both at home and abroad. Enterprises have been guided to create displays that reflect milestones across different historical periods.

On the progress of preparations, Vu Ba Phu noted that construction was well underway, with 100% of booths already under development. “We have instructed all participants to complete construction work by August 18 so that on August 19, top Party and government leaders can inspect the site and ensure the event will be held in a dignified and impressive manner", Vu Ba Phu said.

Acknowledging the role of enterprises, Vu Ba Phu stressed: “Businesses have shown great commitment and enthusiasm, working closely with the ministry. Many said that despite high costs, they were determined to present their products in the most impressive and respectful way, driven by patriotism and national pride. This is reflected not only in construction progress but also in creative booth designs, combining historical and modern elements to convey the message of sustainable development".

Showcasing business responsibility

Among the national brands participating, An Cuong Wood Joint Stock Company has designed an impressive pavilion retracing more than three decades of growth, with the message: “An Cuong - Accompanying Vietnam’s Sustainable Development".

Nguyen Trung Kien, Director of An Cuong’s Hanoi branch, said: "The Industry and Trade Achievement Exhibition is a historic and meaningful event. It is the largest in Southeast Asia this year, part of the celebrations for the country’s 80-year journey. The exhibition serves as a bridge linking the past, present, and future of Vietnam’s industry, while honoring enterprises like An Cuong after more than 30 years of development".

According to Nguyen Trung Kien, the greatest significance of the event lies in recognizing national brand enterprises and creating a platform to present their achievements to both domestic and international audiences. “With the theme ‘An Cuong - Accompanying Vietnam’s Sustainable Development’, our pavilion blends tradition and modernity. We proudly showcase the company’s history and achievements, while introducing a wide range of high-quality products, from interior materials to advanced technological solutions. The aim is to inspire national pride and encourage young enterprises to learn and innovate", Nguyen Trung Kien said.

Looking ahead, Nguyen Trung Kien expressed optimism about the exhibition’s impact: "Participation is not only an honor but also an opportunity for An Cuong to connect with international partners, expand into Southeast Asia and global markets, and generate direct opportunities such as business meetings and contracts. It is also a chance to access new technologies, exchange experiences, and promote exports, contributing to national trade growth. This reflects the strong sense of responsibility enterprises share in ensuring the success of the exhibition".
