On October 3, Deputy PM Bui Thanh Son chaired a national coordination meeting, connecting from the Government Headquarters to localities nationwide on preparations for the 2025 Autumn Fair, which will be held both in-person and online. He affirmed that the fair will be the largest ever organized in Vietnam.
According to the proposal, the fair will take place at the Kim Quy Exhibition Center in Hanoi, covering a total floor area of 100,000 square meters, equivalent to 3,000 standard booths. The event will be divided into five themed zones: “Industry, Trade, Services - Prosperous Autumn,” “Cultural Industries - Golden Season,” Hanoi’s Autumn Essence, “Vietnam’s Autumn - Colors and Flavors,” and “Family Autumn.”

Deputy PM Bui Thanh Son praised the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi authorities, and Vingroup in developing the plan. Vingroup will sponsor the fair’s overall design, layout, and branding, and will waive venue rental and related service fees for electricity, water, sanitation, and security.
He emphasized that the fair must go beyond exhibition and promotion; it should facilitate trade, contracts, and actual product sales from all regions nationwide. Ministries, provinces, and cities are required to ensure broad participation from all sectors, including state-owned, private, and FDI enterprises, showcasing diverse regional products.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned to finalize the Project on organizing the 2025 Autumn Fair and submit it to the Head of the Fair Steering Committee for approval on October 4.
The Vietnam Exhibition Joint Stock Company (VEC) must urgently complete the overall design and layout plan of all subdivisions no later than October 6.
The Deputy PM requested local authorities to assign focal officers to promptly coordinate with VEC, receive their designated exhibition areas by October 6 at the latest, and immediately proceed with design and construction plans.
Regarding funding, the Deputy PM instructed that localities requiring financial support from the central budget must send their budget estimates to the Ministry of Industry and Trade by the morning of October 4. Meanwhile, Vingroup and VEC are required to provide written notifications of any incurred expenses, if any, before October 6.
Hanoi authorities and VEC are tasked with ensuring absolute safety and security, environmental sanitation, food hygiene, and healthcare during the fair.
The Deputy PM also urged all ministries and localities to intensify media coverage before, during, and after the event to enhance public engagement.
Looking ahead, he suggested that the Ministry of Industry and Trade study new fair models and elevate the Autumn Fair to regional and international levels in future editions.
Earlier, on October 2, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of successfully organizing the Autumn Fair during a regular government meeting.
Scheduled from October 26 to November 4, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), with an opening ceremony at 9 a.m. on October 26, the fair is expected to become a major trade promotion event, linking businesses, stimulating consumption, expanding exports and imports, and contributing to Vietnam’s GDP growth target of over 8% for 2025 while laying a strong foundation for 2026-2030.
