Can Tho launches campaign to promote OCOP specialties

At noon on October 23, the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City held a communication conference to enhance the promotion of local specialties, OCOP products, and outstanding goods participating in the Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 in Hanoi. The activity forms a key part of the city’s trade promotion program, aiming to affirm the brand identity of “Can Tho Specialties” across the country.

Speaking at the event, Ha Vu Son, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City, said the Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 is not just a routine trade promotion task but also “a golden opportunity” for Can Tho businesses to demonstrate quality, reliability, and expand their partner network and distribution channels to northern markets.

The fair is expected to become a convergence of regional products, providing a space for cultural and economic exchange among enterprises, investors, and consumers. According to the department’s orientation, participating units and enterprises are encouraged to focus on three key strategic missions to ensure the highest effectiveness.

First, ensure product quality and authenticity. Each product selected must represent the essence of local culture and meet the highest quality standards of Can Tho. Every product, as Ha Vu Son emphasized, serves as a “brand ambassador” telling the story of Can Tho’s people and land, a decisive factor in helping local goods establish a distinctive identity, evoke pride, and build consumer trust.

Second, strengthen communication and brand promotion. The communication conference marked the first step in spreading the message “Can Tho specialties - the spirit of the Mekong Delta in the heart of Hanoi”. Media agencies are called upon to accompany enterprises in building professional and appealing images. The Can Tho pavilion at the Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 will not only showcase products but also tell brand stories, creating a highlight to attract visitors and partners.

Third, enhance professionalism in trade promotion. Businesses are urged to prepare comprehensive product profiles, negotiation capacity, marketing materials, and logistics. The goal is not only to increase on-site sales but also to lay the foundation for long-term and sustainable partnerships after the fair.

Can Tho enterprises join hands to spread local brands

Nguyen Xuan Khoi, Chief Representative of Vietjet Air in Can Tho, said Vietjet Air will accompany and support logistics for the city’s product promotion campaign. This cooperation will facilitate the transportation of goods, expand distribution channels, and introduce Can Tho specialties to distant markets, especially in the northern region.

According to Huynh Thi Kieu Tien, Director of Quang Dang Production and Trading Private Enterprise and owner of the Mekong Delta Specialties Store in Can Tho, which holds a 5-star OCOP product of the city, the Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 is expected to create an opportunity for deeper promotion of local products and new cooperation prospects with partners, particularly in northern Vietnam.

She added that the Department of Industry and Trade’s proactive communication and trade promotion efforts not only help local enterprises enhance competitiveness but also establish a sustainable market foundation, contributing to spreading the value of Can Tho’s specialty brands nationwide.

At the conference, Director Ha Vu Son affirmed that the success of the communication campaign and participation in the Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 is a shared responsibility of the entire political system, relevant departments, and the business community. With unity, strong determination, and professional execution, Can Tho is confident it will make a strong impression and further elevate the “Can Tho Specialties” brand on Vietnam’s trade map.

With more than 100 local specialties, OCOP, and outstanding products to be showcased at the Vietnam Golden Autumn Fair 2025 in Hanoi, this initiative represents a key step in Can Tho’s trade promotion strategy, helping to affirm and expand the reach of the “Can Tho Specialties” brand across the national market.
