The launch of the Zenbook 14 (UM3406GA) and Vivobook S14/S16 (M3407GA & M3607GA) underscores how ASUS is accelerating its AI PC strategy in Vietnam. Rather than focusing solely on thin-and-light design, the company is placing the spotlight on AMD’s Ryzen AI 400 Series platform, specifically the Ryzen AI 7 445 processor with a dedicated NPU delivering up to 50 TOPS, positioning AI performance as a core pillar of the user experience.

With the Vivobook S14/S16, ASUS retains its youthful design language while elevating build quality through a dual-metal chassis, CNC-engraved logo and US MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability. Weighing 1.4 kg and measuring just 1.59-1.79 cm thin, the device is tailored for students and mobile professionals who need portability without compromising performance.
The 14-inch 16:10 OLED display remains a standout feature. Offering 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 1.07 billion colors and a 0.2 ms response time, the panel delivers sharp visuals for productivity and content work. While the 60 Hz refresh rate signals that gaming is not the primary focus, display quality is clearly prioritized for office tasks and creative applications.
Under the hood, the Ryzen AI 7 445 paired with Radeon 840M integrated graphics provides sufficient headroom for multitasking and light media editing. The configuration includes 16 GB of DDR5 RAM (upgradeable to 32 GB) and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, ensuring solid day-to-day responsiveness. The key differentiator, however, is the 50 TOPS NPU, enabling on-device AI processing, from video call enhancements to smart image optimization, while improving power efficiency and data privacy compared with cloud-dependent workflows.
Battery life is another highlight. A 70 Wh battery combined with a 68 W fast charger, capable of reaching 60% in 49 minutes, reinforces the all-day productivity positioning. ASUS’ Battery Health Charging feature further reflects growing attention to long-term durability, a practical consideration in the mid-to-premium segment. Starting at VND 27.59 million, the Vivobook S14/S16 competes in the upper midrange, leveraging OLED display technology and AI acceleration as key value drivers.
The Zenbook 14 (UM3406GA), meanwhile, represents a step up in refinement. Its three-sided aluminum unibody design, Jade Black finish and minimalist Monogram detailing create a distinctly premium feel. At just 14.9 mm thin and 1.2 kg, it ranks among the lightest AI-enabled laptops in its class, targeting frequent travelers and business users who prioritize mobility. Combined with an OLED display and Dolby Atmos audio, the Zenbook 14 emphasizes a balanced, high-end experience rather than raw specifications alone.
Taken together, the new lineup signals more than a routine refresh. ASUS is clearly betting on local AI computing as the next phase of personal computing. As AI capabilities become embedded at the operating system and application level, laptops equipped with dedicated NPUs like the Ryzen AI 7 445 stand to gain a structural advantage. In Vietnam’s evolving PC market, where mobility, display quality and intelligent features are increasingly non-negotiable, this strategy appears well timed.
