Stepping up business connectivity and trade linkages
Thailand Week 2026 is jointly organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Thai Government, the Thai Trade Center - Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi, and the Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising JSC (Vinexad). The event aims to create a dynamic platform for Thai and Vietnamese businesses to explore commercial opportunities, expand markets, and promote trade, investment and business cooperation.
This year, Thailand Week 2026 features 120 booths from more than 100 companies, including Thai enterprises and Vietnamese importers. Exhibited products span a wide range of categories aligned with Vietnamese consumer trends, such as food and beverages, health and beauty products, mother-and-baby items, fashion and apparel, as well as quality household goods, including products emphasizing sustainability and environmental friendliness. In addition, the exhibition hosts business matching and networking activities (B2B and B2C), creating direct links between Thai suppliers and Vietnamese buyers.

For Thai businesses, Vietnam is identified as a highly promising market, driven by a young population and rapidly growing consumer demand. Many Thai companies participating in Thailand Week 2026 expressed strong impressions of Vietnam’s economic growth momentum as well as its business prospects.
Participating in the Thailand Product Week in Vietnam for the ninth time, Nuttapoom Lokunpai, Executive Director of Biz Maker (Thailand), told Industry and Trade Newspaper that the company entered the Vietnamese market around 10 years ago, starting in 2016. Currently, Biz Maker’s products are distributed through major shopping malls and large retail chains such as Go! and Mega Market.
According to Nuttapoom Lokunpai, Vietnam’s economy is growing robustly, with market demand increasingly similar to Thailand’s. This has encouraged the company to further expand its operations in Vietnam.“However, our products face strong competition from goods originating from China and the Republic of Korea. Therefore, Biz Maker will focus on enhancing product quality while maintaining reasonable prices, and at the same time invest in innovation technologies to develop new products better suited to the Vietnamese market,” he noted.
Kris Jangjarat, CEO of M.Y.R Cosmetics Solution (Thailand), said this was his first time attending a Thai product exhibition in Hanoi. The company’s objective is to introduce premium-quality Thai products to the Vietnamese market. As the founder and a hands-on product developer in the beauty sector, Kris Jangjarat expressed strong confidence in the brand’s growth potential in Vietnam.
In his assessment, Vietnam is a market well worth close attention. Based on his observations, the Vietnamese economy is highly dynamic and, at present, even demonstrates a more impressive growth pace than Thailand’s. This, he said, opens up substantial opportunities for expanding business operations and developing the M.Y.R Cosmetics Solution brand in Vietnam.
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the event, Supaporn Sukmark, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Trade Promotion under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, emphasized that strengthening trade relations with Vietnam remains one of Thailand’s key priorities. After a five-year hiatus, the return of Thailand Week to Hanoi carries special significance, serving as a large-scale showcase of high-quality Thai products for Vietnamese consumers.
“One of the highlights of this year’s exhibition is the overall quality of the displayed products. All items have undergone a rigorous selection process to ensure they meet the increasingly high expectations of Vietnamese consumers. Alongside the exhibition, we have also intensified B2B business-matching activities to create direct cooperation opportunities between Thai and Vietnamese enterprises,” she said.
Towards a bilateral trade target of USD 25 billion
Addressing the exhibition, To Ngoc Son, Deputy Director General of the Agency for Foreign Trade Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, noted that the Vietnamese and Thai economies are becoming increasingly interconnected, with close coordination in advancing the ASEAN Economic Community. Thailand is currently Vietnam’s largest trading partner within ASEAN, while Vietnam ranks as Thailand’s second-largest trading partner in the bloc.
Over the past five years, bilateral trade between Vietnam and Thailand has recorded stable annual growth of around 6.8 percent, reaching USD 22.1 billion in 2025 the highest level to date and accounting for nearly one-quarter of Vietnam’s total trade with ASEAN countries. Thailand continues to rank among the top 10 foreign investors in Vietnam. Beyond trade and investment, the two countries also maintain effective cooperation in energy, industry, culture and tourism.
