Texfuture Vietnam Fall-Winter 2023 exhibition opens in HCMC

The international forum & exhibition of high quality fabric Texfuture Vietnam Fall-Winter 2023 is officially taking place at Thiskyhall convention center, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), from September 20-22.

With the theme "Recycle together - circulate together", the event attracted the attention and companionship of more than 15 brands, 200 exhibitors, 1,000 textile factories, and over 1,000 Vietnamese fashion brand.

Texfuture Vietnam brings together businesses passionate about Vietnam's textile and garment industry to commit to action and stick together for sustainable development and pursue the path of "green" production.

Texfuture Vietnam offers diverse activities with creative, different and impressive spaces, including: Sourcing Zone (Business to Business): displaying key products of recycled & circular fabrics, fashion fabrics , functional fabrics, 4r materials, technology & services, accessories and accessories; Venture Zone (I2B - Idea to Business): for start-ups, creative ideas and AI and 3D technology products, as well as prototypes in the field of recycled and circular textiles; Miracle Zone (D2B - Design to Brand): a special space for Vietnamese brands, helping local brands bring environmentally friendly fashion products to international reach.

In addition to exhibition activities, Texfuture Vietnam also provides a forum with discussion sessions with industry experts to update trends and the future of the textile industry. In particular, the event also offers a Factory Tour program, together visiting a series of leading businesses and factories in the textile and garment industry in Vietnam.

B2B trade promotion activities take place directly at the exhibition, with a variety of participants, from textile and garment businesses, fabric factories to designers, fashion enthusiasts for sustainable materials, together experience in applying digital technology and 3D modeling.

Tran Ngoc Liem, General Director of VCCI-HCM said that, many signs of recovery and development opportunities for textiles and garments have appeared. Exports to the Japanese market in the first 8 months of 2023 reached 2.58 billion USD, up 1.7% over the same period last year. Textile and garment export turnover in August 2023 reached 3.4 billion USD, the highest in the last 11 months, an increase of 5.5%, and is the 4th consecutive month that export turnover increased compared to the previous month. In particular, exports to the US have shown signs of recovery with export turnover in August 2023 reaching 1.5 billion USD, up 2.3% compared to the previous month.

In the vision from now to 2050, digitalization and greening are inevitable trends in the textile industry. Therefore, textile enterprises need to adapt and develop circular products to increase competitive advantage.

The organizers of Texfuture Vietnam hope to improve the capacity of textile & garment enterprises to meet the global supply chain in treating and reusing textile waste, integrating digital technology & smart solutions to reduce carbon for factories, design and products.

The exhibition brings valuable multi-dimensional perspectives on recycling and circularity not only for startups and SME businesses but also for large domestic and foreign businesses.

Texfuture Vietnam is organized by Sustainable Textile Solutions Company (STS), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Ho Chi Minh City Branch,Tengda Exhibition, with the organizational coordination of associations and partners including Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA), Vietnam Waste Recycling Association (VWRA), The Shoes and Leather Association of Ho Chi Minh City (SLA), Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA); Haravan Technology Joint Stock Company.

The event is expected to attract more than 2,500 visitors.
