Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in researching, developing and converting YADEA’s smart electric motorcycles to battery-swapping technology. Compatible vehicle models will also be connected to VGX’s shared battery-swapping infrastructure network in Vietnam.

Through the smart battery-swapping solution, YADEA expects the partnership to help address charging infrastructure challenges for electric motorcycles, enabling users to recharge vehicles more conveniently, flexibly and efficiently. The company considers this approach an important step toward improving user experience and accelerating the adoption of green transportation in Vietnam.

Amid rapid growth in Vietnam’s electric motorcycle market, YADEA said the integration between electric motorcycle brands and shared new-energy ecosystems is becoming an important trend to optimize social resources, improve accessibility to electric vehicles and promote green transportation transition.

Vuong Hao, General Manager of International Business at YADEA Technology Group, said the future of green transportation depends not only on smart products and advanced technologies, but also on the ability to build a convenient, flexible and accessible new-energy ecosystem for users. He said the cooperation with VGX represents an important milestone in YADEA’s long-term development strategy in Vietnam and reflects the company’s commitment to bringing electric motorcycles closer to Vietnamese consumers.

Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Deputy General Director of Petrolimex and Chairman of Vietnam Green Energy Infrastructure JSC, said the cooperation marks an important milestone in the development strategy for shared energy infrastructure for electric vehicles in Vietnam. He added that Petrolimex’s experience in the energy sector, combined with the connection between battery-swapping infrastructure and electric vehicle brands such as YADEA, is expected to help create a more convenient, sustainable and accessible ecosystem for users.

Launching gasoline-to-electric exchange campaign

As part of its product diversification strategy in Vietnam, YADEA announced plans to introduce a new flagship electric motorcycle model named YADEA OMEE in June 2026. The model is designed for students and young consumers, featuring fashionable styling, smart features and enhanced safety, which the company describes as core elements of the brand’s DNA.

At the same time, YADEA will launch its “Trade Gasoline Motorcycles for Electric Motorcycles” campaign in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The program targets users of gasoline-powered motorcycles who want to switch to smart and environmentally friendly electric motorcycles. Through the campaign, YADEA plans to provide promotional incentives, financial support programs and dedicated after-sales services to make electric motorcycles more accessible to consumers.

The campaign reflects YADEA’s long-term orientation to support Vietnam’s transition toward green transportation, contributing to emissions reduction and sustainable urban mobility development.

Founded in 2001, YADEA is currently one of the world’s leading two-wheeled electric vehicle brands, serving more than 100 million users globally and maintaining the world’s top sales position for nine consecutive years from 2017 to 2025.

In Vietnam, YADEA is accelerating its localization strategy and expanding its manufacturing ecosystem through its smart manufacturing plant in Bac Ninh Province, with a total investment of around USD 100 million. The facility is considered one of the region’s most advanced electric motorcycle production complexes and serves as a strategic hub for YADEA’s long-term development in Southeast Asia.

Alongside manufacturing investments, YADEA is also expanding its product portfolio to meet increasingly diverse consumer demand in Vietnam. Key models such as YADEA Osta and YADEA Velax have attracted market attention thanks to their modern designs, smart technologies and suitability for urban mobility needs in Vietnam.

The cooperation with VGX further demonstrates YADEA’s long-term investment commitment and sustainable development strategy in Vietnam, which the company identifies as one of its key markets in Southeast Asia.
