Accordingly, employees diagnosed under this disease category will maintain their job, salary, and benefits for up to 12 months, and can incorporate flexible work arrangements, which will be adapted based on individual needs, location, and nature of their role. Furthermore, employees diagnosed with cancer or critical illnesses will have access to external psychological support in all countries 24/7 through our global Employee Assistance Program to connect with oncology colleagues and resources and receive emotional support through the psychological support program.

In addition, treatment costs may be supported through allowances, insurance, or other benefits that are being considered by Sanofi.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally and is estimated to cause 9.6 million deaths in 2018. Vietnam has about 165,000 new cancer cases and about 115,000 cancer deaths each year. The age-standardized cancer death rate in Vietnam is 104 (per 100,000 people), ranking 57th globally.
In early 2023, Sanofi signed a global pledge #workingwithcancer, which calls on companies to eliminate stigma around cancer in the workplace. From there, a program with a 360° approach to cancer named "Cancer & Work: Acting Together" was established.
