Quang Binh adds value to rural industrial products

According to Quang Binh provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Le Mau Khanh, thanks to national and local fundings, Quang Binh has implemented synchronously various industry promotion activities, such as supporting technical demonstration models of new products, voting typical rural industrial products, and trade promotion for local products. The local industrial promotion program has provided financial support for more than 120 new establishments to expand production and apply technical advances.

Notably, the locality also organized two selections of typical rural products at the provincial level for 82 products which were then prioritized to enjoy preferential policies to develop production and expand consumption markets.

Despite the achieved results, Khanh said many businesses are facing difficulties due to declining orders and limited operation costs. Meanwhile, the dissemination of policies in industry promotion have not spread to rural industrial establishments in remote areas.

In particular, funding for the program is limited, resulting in passive implementation of the projects. Most businesses in the province are of small scales, have limited financial capacity, and their output markets remain unstable due to low quality of products, which also significantly affects the implementation of industry promotion activities.

To create favorable conditions for the local enterprises, Khanh said in 2024, the center has built a technical demonstration model with a total funding of VND1 billion to produce wood pellets for VINAFOR Green Energy JSC.

In addition, the center continues to advise, guide and support local industry promotion programs and projects in 2024.

Khanh said, the provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion will strengthen communications and dissemination of policies to encourage industrial development and trade promotion, focusing on vocational training, with priorities given to traditional sectors and professions.

In addition, Quang Binh industry promotion will give priorities to supporting projects on machinery and equipment application, integrated with market development, brand building, and designs of label and product packaging, at the same time, strengthening consulting activities, supporting businesses to improve their competitiveness, and promoting exchanges and connections to sell rural industrial products in the province.
