Attenders included Tran Nhat Huy, Deputy General Director of PV GAS; Hoang Trong Dung, Deputy General Director of PV GAS; leaders of departments, centers, and production units, and more than 60 staff members responsible for operation, maintenance and repair activities at production-related units under PV GAS.
In his opening speech, Deputy General Director Tran Nhat Huy emphasized the importance of collaboration in ensuring safe, uninterrupted and effective operations of gas facilities, contributing to the achievements of the corporation’s key business and production targets. In 2024, PV GAS’ units completed routine maintenance, repair and calibration work, as well as 100 percent of preventive maintenance tasks on schedule. Unplanned maintenance tasks were also accomplished at a high completion rate. The comprehensive maintenance campaigns during gas shutdown periods (CL, NCS2, NCS, PM3 CM, HRTB) in 2024 were successfully carried out, ensuring safety, quality, and progress. PV GAS highly appreciated these efforts and rewarded the involved units.

Through their presentations, workshop participants identified challenges and obstacles facing the maintenance work and proposed solutions for these activities in the coming period. The Gas Dispatch Center shared solutions to enhance proactivity in PV GAS’ maintenance scheduling; the Vung Tau Gas Processing Company gave a presentation on safety management in large-scale maintenance; the Gas Services Company shared insights on challenges and solutions for maintenance during gas shutdowns, along with lessons learned; the Production and Technical Department presented the orientation of operation, maintenance and repair activities in the new context.
The workshop gave PV GAS’ units a chance to discuss the challenges and obstacles in maintenance and repair activities, seek effective solutions and opportunities to enhance management quality and the efficiency of production and business operations. The workshop also provided a platform for PV GAS’ units to further clarify issues and propose solutions to improve the maintenance management system in accordance with the corporation’s long-term development strategy.

PV GAS’ leadership highly appreciated its units’ efforts to ensure safe, uninterrupted and effective operations of gas facilities, especially the maintenance activities that met the criteria of Safety – Quality – Progress, which contributed to the achievements of the 2024 production and business targets. In light of the challenges posed by energy transition and the decline in domestic gas resources, Tran Nhat Huy emphasized the need to optimize maintenance to reduce costs, accelerate digital transformation, develop a team of experts with international certifications, and expand external services in accordance with PV GAS’ modern development strategy.
After serious and responsible discussions, the workshop successfully concluded, providing a comprehensive overview of maintenance and repair activities in 2024. It also contributed to reshaping the management model for operation, maintenance and repair activities, aiming at the sustainable development of PV GAS. All efforts were based on the principles of “Experience – Culture – Knowledge” and reflected the “one team, one goal” spirit in business and production activities.
