At the conference, the committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 193 outstanding collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the Front’s work in 2024, including the Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) being honored and recognized for its contributions to social security work.

Attending the conference were Vo Van Thien, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the Southern Working Committee of the Central Committee; Bui Chi Thanh, member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee; Dang Minh Thong, member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People’s Committee.

According to the report, in 2024, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province raised money and gifts to support the “For the Poor” Fund worth nearly VND85.9 billion. The Fatherland Front at different levels and its member organizations built and repaired 168 houses of great solidarity, worth more than VND8.1 billion; presented 133,400 gifts worth VND83.6 billion; supported Dien Bien Province VND2 billion to build houses of great solidarity for poor households, and implemented 302 poverty reduction models with an initial support funding of more than VND3.3 billion. The provincial Party Committee, authorities and people supported VND51 billion for 21 Northern provinces damaged by storm No.3 (Yagi).

Among enterprises of the oil and gas industry, PV GAS has a tradition to actively participate in social security programs and has very close relations with the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Fatherland Front Committee throughout the 35-year development journey in the province. PV GAS has always been honored by Ba Ria - Vung Tau as an enterprise for the people, proactively and actively participating in programs to ensure security - safety - environmental protection and local socioeconomic development. In 2024 alone, PV GAS supported the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Fatherland Front Committee VND300 million to help Northern provinces overcome the consequences of the super typhoon Yagi. PV GAS units also supported VND400 million to implement social security programs, mainly in education and health sectors in the province.

PV GAS also contributed VND300 million to coordinate with the provincial police force to implement social programs in Con Dao District; sponsored VND20 billion to purchase medical equipment for Con Dao District Medical Center. PV GAS employees in general and PV GAS units also organized/participated in many support activities, such as visiting families with meritorious services to the Revolution, families/people in need of help, orphanage centers; regularly and repeatedly participated in programs on cleaning the marine environment, communication campaigns for Ba Ria - Vung Tau - a beautiful and safe destination...

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province awarded Certificates of Merit to 193 outstanding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the Front’s work in 2024, including PV GAS - an enterprise that has contributed many effective and practical social programs.

Also at the Conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province also approved a coordination program in 2025 and a number of typical presentations on new ways of doing new deeds and good models.
