Petrovietnam to complete management plans for 2024, promote growth

(VEN) - To ensure the completion of the 2024 governance plan, promote growth and development targets, and contribute to the country’s socioeconomic development, General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has issued a directive on key tasks and solutions for the remainder of the year.

The PetroVietnam General Director directed specialized departments, member units, project management committees, and branches to update tasks and solutions in August and the remainder of 2024 based on the implementation results in the first seven months of 2024 and forecasts of the macroeconomic situation, energy market, and monetary and financial policies.

PetroVietnam focuses on completing management plans, promoting growth for 2024

The most important task of PetroVietnam in the last months of 2024 is to make efforts to complete management plans, and promote growth, contributing to the country’s socioeconomic development.

Accordingly, the PetroVietnam General Director urged all members of the group to focus on boosting their production and business activities; oil and gas contractors and units to review tasks and targets and implement flexible solutions; strengthen inspections, especially on safety work at exploitation sites and plants to ensure completion of targets according to each specific area.

In the remainder of 2024, the group and its member units will continue to outline specific tasks and targets in accordance with their practical operations in each month, ensuring the management plan following Decision 529, striving to achieve the growth target.

In addition to carrying out production and business tasks, to create motivation and room for development in the coming period, the General Director requested units to seriously implement the tasks, solutions and directions of the group in investment management; strengthen inspection and supervision on the implementation of investment plans and final settlement of investment projects. In the coming time, the group will accelerate the progress of investment implementation, disbursement of investment capital, striving their best to complete the 2024 investment plan.

The Group’s leaders also encouraged units to organize events virtually, focusing on short-term goals that need to be handled within a specific time, prioritizing cost-effective manner, preventing waste, aiming to improve the efficiency of production, business and investment activities of the units.

In order to encourage the spirit and determination to carry out the 2024 tasks, Petrovietnam will impose sanctions, and offer timely rewards and incentives for outstanding collectives, representatives and individuals who successfully and excellently complete the 2024 management plan.

To aim at promoting growth and development targets, contributing to the country’s socio-economic development, the entire system of Petrovietnam will strive and be determined to implement key and specific solutions tasks to complete the tasks of the entire year 2024, creating the premise to enter a new development stage in 2025.
