Taking place on October 11 in Ho Chi Minh City and October 12 in Hanoi, the events welcome Vietnamese students and their families to discover New Zealand through a vibrant showcase of its world-class education system and immersive experiences, enabling them to envision their global academic and career journey.

As the New Zealand Government’s premier education events of the year, the New Zealand Education Days 2025 bring together nearly 50 top institutions from across the country, responding to the rising demand for studying with New Zealand among Vietnamese students. Attendees will gain exclusive access to the most official, comprehensive, and up-to-date information on study pathways, scholarships, and student life, as well as the opportunity to take part in specially curated activities marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

A first-of-its-kind school uniform showcase & direct access to New Zealand’s study community

To offer Vietnamese parents and students an authentic and engaging glimpse into school life in New Zealand, for the first time ever, 30 New Zealand institutions – spanning primary schools to universities – will unite to present a special uniform showcase. Each uniform reflects the identity, educational spirit, and core values embedded within New Zealand’s education system where national pride is interwoven with openness and respect for diversity, creating an ideal learning environment for international students.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to connect directly with the New Zealand study community for a comprehensive view of the country’s education system. This includes Government representatives responsible for student visas and scholarships, representatives from New Zealand institutions, successful alumni, and parents of students currently studying in New Zealand.

Students will receive personalised one-on-one guidance on study options and pathways tailored to their individual aspirations, while also engaging directly with those who have first-hand experience of studying abroad, applying for scholarships, building careers, and establishing life in New Zealand.

The events also present an opportunity for students to “unlock” New Zealand scholarships across all levels of study. In addition to New Zealand government-backed scholarships such as the New Zealand Schools Scholarships (NZSS) and New Zealand Universities Awards (NZUA), there are also a range of institutional scholarships for Vietnamese students – including some available only to those attending the events.

Expert insights into New Zealand’s English language proficiency requirements

Meeting English language entry requirements is a key concern for many Vietnamese students. At the New Zealand Education Days 2025, attendees will gain valuable insights through a dedicated seminar featuring experts who will discuss the four most widely recognised international English tests: IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, and the Duolingo English Test – all accepted by New Zealand universities and institutes.

This session will provide students with a clear understanding of each test’s unique format, structure, and assessment criteria, empowering them to choose the option best aligned with their goals and strengths. Participants will also have the opportunity to take free practice tests, receive personalised assessments, and learn effective preparation strategies to help maximise their results.

In parallel, an equally important seminar led by Immigration New Zealand will deliver the latest updates on work rights policies and visas for international students. This will be the only opportunity of the year for Vietnamese students and parents to engage directly with Immigration New Zealand.

Taste of New Zealand and Kiwi-Themed Activities

Beyond education, the New Zealand Education Days 2025 will offer opportunities for visitors to taste iconic flavours and products from New Zealand, take part in fun mini challenges, and enjoy a lively, inspiring atmosphere. A wide selection of exclusive gifts will also be available for participants.

The New Zealand Education Days 2025 are supported by a diverse range of partners, including New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), five-star airline Cathay Pacific, Educational Testing Service (ETS), Pearson Education (PTE Academic), Duolingo English Test, English training providers such as PTE Helper, PTE Magic, DOL English, Prep Edu, as well as leading Vietnamese universities with New Zealand pathway programmes, including HCMC University of Technology, HCMC University of Education, International Education Institute  (ISB.IEI) of University of Economics HCMC, HUTECH University, National Economics University, and Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam.
