Leading Norwegian firms introduce green transition solutions in Vietnam

(VEN) - Eight leading Norwegian companies have introduced groundbreaking innovations and sustainable solutions promoting green transition at the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE 2024) in Ho Chi Minh City.

As a nation committed to a low-emission future, Norway’s contributions to green and sustainable technology were prominently displayed at the booth of the Norwegian Embassy in Hanoi within the framework of GEFE 2024, held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 21-24. The event was co-hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham).

Visitors to the Norwegian booths had the opportunity to explore showcased models and initiatives, interact with company representatives, and learn why Norwegian companies are considered pioneers in green technology and capable of ensuring both growth and sustainability.

Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam Hilde Solbakken said rhe Norwegian Embassy in Vietnam is proud to introduce an outstanding lineup of leading Norwegian companies in the green economy, pioneers in key industries for economic growth and environmental protection, such as shipbuilding, energy, paints and coatings, fertilizers, and the circular economy. They are Jotun, Vard, Yara, Eagles Technology, Equinor, UMOE Advanced Composites, DNV, and C-Loop.

According to Hilde Solbakken, the booth of the Norwegian Embassy in Hanoi highlights Norway’s long-term commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility through the sustainable practices and green solutions of each participating company. Businesses and partners will gain further insights into the operations of Norwegian companies and their partnerships with Vietnamese counterparts in fostering sustainable values and making positive contributions to Vietnam’s economic growth and transition towards a greener future, the Ambassador said.

Norwegian industries have long been recognized for their prioritization of sustainability, and this commitment is evident across all Norwegian companies. Karin Greve-Isdahl, Head of the Norwegian Embassy’s Trade Office and Commercial Counselor, emphasized Norwegian companies’ introduciton of green transition solutions in Vietnam shows that innovation, economic growth, and environmental protection complement each other and can drive the shift towards a low-emission economy.

According to the Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam, whether already operating in Vietnam or still exploring this promising market, Norwegian companies are committed to contributing to the green economy through their advanced solutions and technologies. They demonstrate that a greener, more sustainable future is not only feasible but can also be profitable, Hilde Solbakken said./.
