More than VND 5 billion has supported 37 rural enterprises to expand workshops, invest in modern machinery, and upgrade production lines. These efforts aim to boost output, enhance quality, and target domestic and export markets. The Center’s promotion projects also encourage advanced technology adoption to improve product design and quality.
These initiatives are accelerating the integration of digital technologies into production, fostering a shift toward modern, environmentally sustainable industrial and handicraft development in rural areas.
A representative from the Center noted that many rural enterprises have benefited from machinery upgrades, enabling them to meet competitive market demands. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Administration and Human Resources Manager at Vinh Phuoc Arts and Handicrafts Export Cooperative, shared that with the Center’s support for advanced equipment, their cooperative’s production capacity will significantly increase, enabling them to fulfill large export orders.
Materializing the goal of digital transformation
As innovation and digital transformation become imperative across industries, Khanh Hoa province aims to rank among Vietnam’s top 25 provinces for digitalization by 2025. Prioritizing digital technology in economic activities, the province views this as a key driver for growth.
Khanh Hoa is implementing policies and programs to support digital transformation for businesses, particularly small, medium, and micro-enterprises. The province is promoting IT and digital technology through targeted policies and the development of IT hubs. Rural cooperatives and household businesses are receiving assistance to adopt digital tools for production, operations, and e-commerce.
Despite advancements, digital transformation remains a challenging journey requiring substantial investment. A representative from the Khanh Hoa Department of Industry and Trade noted that while rural industrial facilities have significant support needs, limited industrial promotion funding hinders comprehensive assistance. To bridge this gap, rural enterprises are urged to proactively seize opportunities, leverage available resources, and continuously enhance business management skills. By adopting advanced equipment and innovating production processes, they can ensure high-quality products for domestic and global market standards.
To stay competitive, rural industrial and handicraft facilities are advised to make phased, adaptive investments, foster business collaborations, and develop innovative, value-added products. By building robust production and value chains, these facilities can advance toward higher positions in regional and global markets.
