Foreign beauties gather in Vietnam for Miss Cosmo 2024 pageant

Beauties from 70 countries and territories worldwide touched down in Vietnam on September 12 and 13 to compete in the Miss Cosmo 2024 pageant which is being hosted by Vietnam for the first time.

Foreign beauties land at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on September 12 as they gear up for the Miss Cosmo 2024 pageant. Photographed is the representative from Canada appearing in an Ao Ba Ba, a traditional outfit of southern Vietnam.

On September 12 the country welcomes contestants from 34 countries and territories worldwide. Miss Cosmo Thailand impresses Vietnamese people, donning a white Ao Dai (traditional long dress).

Others are scheduled to land at Noi Bai International Airport on September 13 before flying down to Ho Chi Minh City to partake in the beauty contest.

The semi-final night is set to be held on October 2 and the grand final will then get underway at the Phu Tho Gymnasium in the southern city on October 5.

The winner of Miss Cosmo 2024 will receive a cash prize of US$100,000. The organisers will also award only one runner-up title on the final night.

With the theme of "Vivid Vietnam", the beauty contest seeks to promote various positive images of Vietnamese people and landscape to international friends.

The appearance of foreign beauties receives a warm welcome from local fans.

Bui Thi Xuan Hanh, Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023, becomes the first Vietnamese representative to compete for the Miss Cosmo 2024 title. The 23-year-old girl stands at 1.71 metres tall and measures 82-60-87 cm. She has actively participated in many charity activities.
