Aviation sector strengthens smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods control

The Authority requests that all agencies and units instruct their staff, especially those involved in the aviation transportation chain, to strictly adhere to regulations on combating smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods during the Tet period, in accordance with the Government's, the Ministry of Transport's, and the Authority's regulations.

In particular, the head of each agency or business is responsible for efforts to combat smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods within their civil aviation operations.

Specifically, units are required to strengthen regular inspections and controls at check-in points to promptly detect and coordinate actions against smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods.

At the same time, they need to take the lead or cooperate with relevant authorities to widely publicize the above directives through various forms to ensure that everyone understands and actively participates in the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods at their units.

Units need to actively apply information technology and social media in a suitable manner for public awareness campaigns; publicly display email addresses and hotlines so that people can easily report, share, and receive information, and handle alerts promptly through the hotline.

Additionally, units must closely cooperate with the National Steering Committee 389 and relevant agencies when required. They must take strict action or coordinate with relevant authorities to deal with organizations or individuals who violate regulations on smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods before, during, and after the Tet period in 2025./.
