Voters unanimously nominate Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung

With 100% of voters at his place of residence expressing confidence, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung was nominated as a candidate.

On the afternoon of February 6, the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Dong ward, Hanoi, held a conference to collect comments and assess voter confidence at the place of residence for nominees for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.

At the conference, Acting Minister Le Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Party Committee Secretary and Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, received unanimous approval, with 100% of attending voters voting in favor of his nomination as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly.

During the conference, voters listened to brief presentations on the biographies and working records of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. Based on a review of personal files, background records, and performance as well as conduct at the place of residence, voters unanimously assessed that the Acting Minister and the other nominees fully meet all standards and eligibility criteria for candidates for the National Assembly and People’s Councils.

Opinions expressed by voters reflected a high level of consensus and confidence in the nominees for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels, including Party Committee Secretary and Acting Minister Le Manh Hung. Voters noted that he has undergone a serious and disciplined process of work and training, fully meeting requirements in political integrity, ethics, qualifications, and professional capacity, while strictly complying with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws.

In residential community activities, Acting Minister Le Manh Hung and his family have consistently set a good example, maintained solidarity, and actively participated in local movements, earning the trust and respect of the people. Based on existing regulations, voters affirmed that the Acting Minister fully meets all conditions and credibility requirements to stand as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly. They also expressed their expectation that elected deputies will continue to fulfill their role as representatives of the people’s will and aspirations, contributing to national construction and development.

Representing the agency where the National Assembly candidate is working, Tran Quang Huy, Director of the Department of Personnel and Organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, affirmed that the candidates whose opinions were collected at this conference are officials nominated by competent authorities and agencies, and who have received absolute confidence from voters at their workplaces. He emphasized that this is a contingent of officials who have been tested and trained in practice, gradually matured, and demonstrated strong political resolve, ethical qualities, and professional competence.

On behalf of the nominees introduced at the conference, the Acting Minister expressed his sincere thanks to delegates and voters of Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi, for their responsible and heartfelt contributions. He stated that the confidence shown by voters at the place of residence is an important source of encouragement for him and the other candidates to continue striving, fulfilling their duties well, and living up to the trust of voters and the people. He stressed that this confidence is both an honor and a significant responsibility, as National Assembly and People’s Council deputies represent the people’s will and exercise the people’s power.

In his capacity as a member of the Party Central Committee, Party Committee Secretary and head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Acting Minister Le Manh Hung noted that if elected as a deputy to the 16th National Assembly, he would have the opportunity to contribute to institutionalizing the Party’s guidelines and policies in the law-making process, participate in major national decision-making, and effectively exercise the supervisory role of a National Assembly deputy. He affirmed that candidates for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term clearly recognize their responsibilities and will develop specific action programs to fulfill the duties of people’s deputies, regularly listen to and absorb public opinions, and promptly reflect them at forums of the National Assembly and People’s Councils.
