Vietnamese President meets APEC leaders in Peru

In the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the leaders shared the view that in the context of sophisticated developments of the world and regionalsituation, the two sides need to frequently carry out strategic exchanges, satisfactorily resolve disputes and promote cooperation for the common interest of the two countries’ peoples as well as for peace, stability and development in the region.

At the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, they wished Vietnam and Russia would join hands to lay a solid foundation for the bilateral relationship in all fields especially in such fields as economy, trade, education-training, and science-technology.

During their meeting, Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and President Tran Dai Quang noted their delight at the development of the Vietnam-Chile comprehensive partnership in many fields. President Bachelet affirmed Chile treasures and is willing to further boost the comprehensive partnership with Vietnam. Chile supports and is ready to closely coordinate for the success of the APEC Year Vietnam 2017 and APEC Chile 2019...

The Vietnamese president also received Canadian Prime Minister Justine Trudeau, Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, US President Barrack Obama, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loongand Brunei King Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddinWaddaulah, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key andMexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.

In these meetings, President Quang invited the leaders to attend the High-level APEC Week 2017 in Vietnam./.
