The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion of Algeria have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote research, assessment, and the initiation of negotiations for a bilateral trade agreement.

At noon on 19 November (local time, afternoon Hanoi time), during his official visit to Algeria, following their bilateral talks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb witnessed the signing of a series of cooperation documents between ministries, agencies, and organizations of both countries.

These documents aim to provide a favorable framework for implementing concrete projects across various sectors, including:

The minutes of the 13th session of the Vietnam-Algeria Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation.

A memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, and City Development of Algeria in housing and urban planning.

The annex to the protocol on comprehensive debt settlement between the two governments.

An agreement on cooperation in the field of education between the two governments.

A memorandum of understanding between the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Algeria (CACI).

A memorandum of understanding between the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) of Vietnam and Boumediene University of Science and Technology of Algeria.

A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion of Algeria on coordinating research, assessment, and the promotion of initiating bilateral trade agreement negotiations.

These agreements are expected to create a conducive environment for expanding practical cooperation and promoting strategic partnerships between Vietnam and Algeria.
