South American media praises Vietnam’s land, people, and culture

Argentine newspaper Ambito features an article praising Vietnam’s landscape, people, and culture

Argentina’s Ámbito newspaper featured an article by journalist Osvaldo Sorbara, who visited Vietnam and described the country as one renowned for its rich history, unique landscapes, and captivating cultural heritage.

Sorbara explained that he traveled to Vietnam to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s transformation after decades of war. He was deeply impressed by the nation’s remarkable progress.

He reflected on Vietnam’s breathtaking scenery and warm-hearted people, emphasizing that the country is now more open than ever to welcoming visitors from around the world. In Hanoi, one can experience a fascinating contrast between tranquility and bustling energy, with tree-lined boulevards and French colonial architecture adding to the city's charm.

Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, foreign visitors are often astonished by the city’s vibrant atmosphere, where millions of motorbikes and hundreds of thousands of cars fill the streets daily. A visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a complex spanning over 200 kilometers that once served as a strategic base for Vietnamese guerrilla fighters, is also a must-see. The tunnels housed thousands of soldiers, complete with underground hospitals and kitchens.

Vietnam boasts numerous stunning landscapes, and one of the most remarkable experiences is a cruise on Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bay is dotted with thousands of islands and limestone formations, each with unique shapes emerging from lush vegetation. It has also been recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

Ámbito also shared Sorbara’s impressions of Vietnam’s diverse cuisine, noting that everything from street food stalls to upscale restaurants offers high-quality meals at reasonable prices. The country is also a shopping paradise, with beautiful traditional handicrafts such as silk fabrics, lacquerware, bamboo and rattan products, embroidery, ceramics, pearl jewelry, and intricate carvings.

Vietnam ranks 12th among Asian nations with the best quality of life, according to the Argentine newspaper, which described it as a destination well worth visiting.

Meanwhile, the Asia section of Uruguay’s Diario LaR also featured an article introducing Vietnam as a stunning country with breathtaking landscapes and colorful cities, making it a fantastic destination for travelers.

The Uruguayan newspaper listed some of Vietnam’s most famous tourist destinations, including Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, Sa Pa, Nha Trang, and the ancient capital of Hue.

It depicted Ha Long Bay, renowned for its spectacular limestone cliffs and crystal-clear waters, as one of Vietnam’s most iconic travel destinations. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the bay is viewed as an ideal spot for kayaking and exploring caves with unique rock formations.

The newspaper also praised Ho Chi Minh City as Vietnam’s economic and cultural hub, home to the bustling Ben Thanh Market and impressive skyscrapers that blend tradition with modernity.

Da Nang boasts stunning beaches such as My Khe Beach, where visitors can unwind and soak up the sun, while Hoi An captivates travelers with its well-preserved ancient town, making it a perfect destination for culture enthusiasts.

Built in the 11th century, the Temple of Literature offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of Hanoi and serves as a vital site for learning about Vietnamese history and culture. Meanwhile, Sa Pa in northern Vietnam is famous for its terraced rice fields, vibrant ethnic markets, and stunning mountain scenery.
