Since the first days when the program was launched, the staff and Trade Union members of PV GAS units in Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province have responded to the event positively. Nearly 3,000 books from a variety of topics and 10 bookshelves with a total value of more than VND10 million were carefully selected, packed and gathered for delivery to students at schools in the two localities.

On April 23, the PV Gas Trade Union and Youth Union in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province coordinated with the Vietnam Women’s Union chapter of Long Dien District and representatives from several primary schools in the district to organize a book donation program. PV Gas Trade Union leaders shared that donating books is a very meaningful activity which helps promote reading, publishing and the protection of intellectual property through copyright. The books and bookshelves donated by PV Gas showed love, spirit of sharing, and wishes for spreading and cultivating reading culture at the schools.

On behalf of the primary schools, Vice Principal of Tran Phu Primary School sent sincere thanks to PV GAS for giving them a very special gift, which is “not only for one-time use,” but can also be shared with many students, contributing to helping them improve their knowledge, enriching the school libraries, making reading classes increasingly more appealing. The schools hoped that the program would continue to be maintained so that the students in difficult regions will have more opportunities to improve their self-study ability and have access to many good books.

Also in the program, PV GAS donated three bookshelves to Tran Phu Primary School, three bookshelves to Dang Van Duc Primary School and four others to the Vietnam Women’s Union chapter of Hoa Hiep Commune, Xuyen Moc District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.
