“Lighting up Vietnam’s Dreams” scholarship for excellent students overcoming difficulties

At Hai Ba Trung Secondary School, Nhon Duc Commune, Nha Be District, PV GAS Trade Union respectfully presented the “Lighting up Vietnam’s dreams” scholarship worth VND15 million to Nguyen Duy Khanh, a student of class 9A3.

Duy Khanh is an example of a student full of willpower to overcome difficulties. Since childhood, he lacked the love of his parents, and has been living with his elderly grandparents in a small, simple house. The meager income from his grandfather’s manual work is the only source of income for the family. Despite the hardship, Duy Khanh has always been an excellent student at the city level, and the pride of his school.

Permanent Vice Chairman of PV GAS Trade Union Le Phuoc Khoi shared that “This scholarship is like a flame of the love of the PV GAS employees and those working in the oil and gas industry in general to give Duy Khanh more confidence to move forward.” PV GAS wishes to provide him both material and spiritual support on the journey to complete his personality and talent.

Also on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, PV GAS Trade Union in coordination with the Women’s Union of Hiep Phuoc Commune visited and paid tribute to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi O. The Heroic Mother, whose her husband and son sacrificed their lives in the US resistance war, was born in 1929.

Representative of the PV GAS’s Trade Union delegation Nguyen Hong Ha - shared, “Mother O’s noble sacrifice is not only the pride of her family, but also a valuable lesson for today’s generation. We wish to contribute a small part to express gratitude and share with her.” The visits and care for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers living in Nha Be district is a good tradition maintained by PV GAS Trade Union for the past many years that shows respect for the great sacrifices the mothers and their families have made for the fatherland.

Giving Tet gifts - Sending love

In the warm and busy atmosphere of the days before Tet, with the spirit of solidarity and sharing, PV GAS Trade Union has actively cared for women members who are experiencing difficult circumstances and orphans from the COVID-19 pandemic... in Nha Be District.

The program spread love to 20 households in especially difficult circumstances. The gifts were given directly to single women, families who lost loved ones due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and young children who are trying to excel in their studies despite the loss of their parents. Each gift not only is material support, but also carries sincere wishes so that families can welcome a New Year peacefully and feel the love and care of the community.

Along with the year-end charity activities, PV GAS Trade Union has paid special attention to female members of PV GAS who are in particularly difficult circumstances. The 12 gifts given are not only to support the female members, but also to convey sincere sentiments from PV GAS to encourage them to overcome challenges in life.

There are women who lost their husbands, while others are infected with cancers, requiring long-term and expensive treatment; or women who unfortunately suffer from accidents, resulting in difficult lives. On the first day of the year, the presence of PV GAS Trade Union is a reminder that they are not alone on this arduous journey, affirming the spirit of solidarity and mutual love - a sustainable value that PV GAS has always preserved and promoted.

Despite changes of space, as long as humanity is spread, every heart will be warmed. This is the message of PV GAS Trade Union in its journey for a better society. Each gift, each smile, each sincere word of encouragement in the last days of the year not only enhanced the value of the company, but also showed the social responsibility of PV GAS. This warmth will continue to be spread, so that the community can welcome a New Year full of love and hope.
