Phu Tho: Unique activities mark anniversary of Hung Kings deaths

(VEN) - The Hung Kings Death’s Anniversary and the Fatherland Culture and Tourism Week 2023 will be held from April 20 to 29 (or the first 10 days of the third lunar month) in Phu Tho Province.

The festivals include the opening ceremony of “Hung Temple Festival and UNESCO-registered Intangible Cultural Heritage Week”; an international seminar on tourism, culture, heritage and sustainable development in Vietnam; a boating tournament and a stand-up paddleboarding performance on Van Lang Lake Park; Hung Vuong Cup football and volleyball tournaments and the Fatherland Culture and Food Festival.

Other cultural, sports and tourism activities include an exhibition on cultural heritage and tourism in the capital regions of Vietnam; performances of bronze drum beating, lion and dragon dances, and a banh chung, banh giay rice cake contest.
