Petrovietnam cultural regeneration for further development

(VEN) - The policy of cultural regeneration is a creative breakthrough proposed by the leadership of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and was drastically implemented right after the unprecedented crisis.

The Petrovietnam Cultural Regeneration Project demonstrated consensus and unity in awareness and action of the whole political system, from key leaders to individual workers. The group’s culture has gradually permeated in all management, production and business activities and become a direct production force, contributing to enhancing the reputation and brand value of the Group in the region and in the international arena.

Achievements from the cultural regeneration process has helped Petrovietnam overcome the crisis. The group is among the top enterprises contributing the largest share to the state budget. In 2023, the brand value of PetroVietnam amounted to approximately US$1.4 billion, a threefold surge compared to 2019. It was also recognized to meet business culture standards from the first round according to criteria set by the Prime Minister.

Based on the core value of Petrovietnam culture “Aspiration - Intelligence - Professionalism – Love,” 25 out of 32 units throughout the Group have constantly taken initiative in completing their missions and business philosophy, contributing to brightening the image of a dynamic and flexible Petrovietnam in adapting to new development trends.

The Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant project is a clear example for rebuilding reputation and brand of Petrovietnam

PETROCONs with “One Team, One Goal” motto, through cultural regeneration, has resiliently revived the unit from countless difficulties, and completed the goal of bringing the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant project into operation, gradually rebuilding reputation, brand, and trust with partners and customers.

PVTrans also rebuilt its culture by tightening discipline, exemplary conduct, fairness..., and then became the leading shipping company in Vietnam over the past decade.

Other member units of the Group such as Vietsovpetro, PVCFC, PVEP, BSR, VPI, PVPOWER, PVDrilling also created their own values and cultural characteristics on the solid foundation of the group’s corporate culture.

Unity and determination to overcome all difficulties make a traditional value of Petrovietnam’ employees

It can be affirmed that, the process of cultural regeneration at Petrovietnam has been implemented successfully in the entire Group, while still highlighting unique cultural features of each member unit.

Promoting Petrovietnam culture in the new development period

To realize the mission and vision in Petrovietnam’s development strategy, protecting and promoting the unique cultural values of the Group become even more important and urgent.

From Petrovietnam’s cultural regeneration process, it can be seen that there are still employees who are different from the rest that have affected some departments, even the operation of the entire system. To solve the problem, Petrovietnam and its member units have been constantly updating and completing internal regulations for each employee, on the spirit of respecting laws, building and protecting a team of officials who dare to think, speak, take responsibility, innovate, and cope with difficulties and challenges for the common interest of the Group.

Petrovietnam, with its desire to surpass itself, is realizing its development strategy, to become the leading energy industry group in the country and the region.
