On 30 October, Party General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a keynote speech at the Vietnam - United Kingdom (the UK) High-Level Economic Conference held in London.

The event gathered major corporations, financial institutions, investors, and enterprises from the energy, industry, finance, and technology sectors to promote economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the UK.

The delegation of the Vietnam National Chemical Group, led by Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Members’ Council, and General Director of the Group, together with leaders of several member companies, attended the conference. Their participation demonstrated the Group’s strong commitment to advancing international cooperation, technology transfer, and green development in line with the sustainable transformation strategy of Vietnam’s chemical industry.

At the conference, numerous memorandums of understanding and strategic agreements were signed between Vietnamese and British enterprises, including the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam National Chemical Group and Robertet Group. The agreement focuses on research, development, and technology transfer in the production of chemicals, fragrances, and environmentally friendly materials.

This partnership marks a new milestone in the cooperation between the two sides, paving the way for the application of advanced British technologies in the Group’s green chemical production and consumer goods, thereby contributing to its sustainable development goals.
