Party and State Leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

On the morning of May 19, a delegation of incumbent and former leaders of the Party and State laid a wreath and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi.

The activity was held to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025). The delegation included representatives of the Party Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. They laid a wreath and offered incense at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, as well as at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street.

Attending the ceremony were Politburo members: General Secretary To Lam; President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.

Also present were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former National Assembly Chairmen Nguyen Sinh Hung and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; former Permanent Member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; along with members of the Politburo, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, Vice Chairpersons of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers, and other senior Party and State officials, as well as leaders of central agencies and organizations.

Before the late President’s sacred memory, the delegation expressed their profound gratitude and deep respect for his immense contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people. The wreath bore the inscription: “Eternal gratitude to our great President Ho Chi Minh.”

Remaining steadfast on the revolutionary path charted by President Ho Chi Minh, the Party continues to pursue the goal of national independence in association with socialism, creatively applying and further developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought.

With a profound understanding of his historic legacy, the leaders of the Party and State, along with all attending delegations, reaffirmed their determination to stay true to the path chosen by President Ho Chi Minh. They pledged to promote unity, perseverance, and collective effort in building a peaceful, independent, unified, democratic, and prosperous Vietnam that steadily advances toward socialism.

Following the tribute at the mausoleum, the delegation moved to the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street to lay a wreath and offer incense in remembrance of those who laid down their lives for the nation.

In a solemn atmosphere, Party and State leaders paid respects to the country’s outstanding sons and daughters who courageously fought and sacrificed for national liberation, independence, and the happiness of the people. The wreath carried the message: “Eternal gratitude to our heroic martyrs".
