The Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Industry and Trade recently developed an action program to restore and strengthen trade and industrial production development. It has built a program to stimulate domestic consumption, expand markets and facilitate enterprises’ production and trading activities. The province has also kicked off a national trade promotion program to stimulate sales and distribution of Vietnamese goods including provincial products.

The department recently sent a delegation to a conference for supply-demand connection with Bac Lieu Province, which attracted producers of fruit juices, canned vegetables and fruits, embroideries and handicrafts, Bodhi leaf-based paintings, herbal teas, turmeric starch, turmeric starch with honey, Solanum procumbens tablets, polygonum multiflora tablets, and herbal essential oils.

Through this event, cooperatives, enterprises and other production and trading establishments from the two provinces signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs).

From August 18-20, 2023, in Binh Minh Townlet of Ninh Binh Province’s Kim Son District, the center for industry and trade promotion and industrial cluster development coordinated with the Kim Son District People's Committee to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas through a 30-pavilion fair. The fairs sold and displayed Vietnamese goods including garments, home appliances, school supplies, electrical and electronic appliances, food and processed foods, farm produce, animal feed, seeds, breeds, and fertilizers made and distributed by businesses inside and outside the province.

Ninh Binh will promote the Buy Vietnamese Goods campaign, strengthen market inspection and management, review business and producer support policies, and strengthen the responsibilities of agencies and organizations in protecting the rights of consumers, as well as responsibilities of members of the provincial steering committee for the Buy Vietnamese Goods.

The provincial authorities will increasingly help businesses improve product quality, replicate the province's high-achieving and potential production and business models, and strengthen the control of imitation goods production and distribution to protect Vietnamese goods producers.
