Nghe An accelerates progress of local industry promotion

(VEN) - The Department of Industry and Trade of the central Nghe An Province directed its affiliated units to quickly complete procedures to approve industry promotion projects early and ensure progress as planned.
According to Nghe An Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, in 2024, Nghe An has proposed the Agency for Regional Industry and Trade (ARID) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) to support the implementation of two national industrial promotion projects. Currently, these projects are under appraisal and completion of procedures, expected to be sent to the ARID for support in the second half of 2024.

Regarding the local industry promotion plan, the provincial People’s Committee allocated the department VND5.5 billion. To date, the department has coordinated with the provincial Department of Finance to appraise (phase 1) 10 projects for approval with a total funding of VND1.239 billion, accounting for 22.53 percent, mainly in areas such as organizing training, forums, start-ups, fairs and exhibitions; voting outstanding rural industrial products, and more.

According to the leaders of Nghe An provincial Department of Industry and Trade, industry promotion is one of the province’s priorities to support rural industrial production establishments to develop production, contributing to the local economic development as well as social security.

Over the past years, industrial promotion policies advised by the department have supported the local rural industrial enterprises in innovating technology, machinery and equipment to improve productivity to keep pace with the new contexts and well implement set targets.

To keep promoting the efficiency of this work, in the coming time, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade will strengthen inspections of the implementation of national and local industry promotion projects, promptly remove emerging problems during the implementation of those projects; promote the dissemination of industry promotion policies to industrial production facilities and craft villages; proactively coordinate with relevant sectors and organizations to implement effectively industry promotion projects in the province; continue to improve the capability of local industry promotion to meet the requirements of industrial development tasks in the new context.
