During the state visit to the French Republic by Party General Secretary and President To Lam from September 9 - 11, 2026, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan participated in a number of important external relations activities, including the official welcome ceremony, the ceremony for the exchange of cooperation documents, and a meeting with leaders of major corporations and enterprises from France and Viet Nam.
The visit by Party General Secretary and President To Lam provided an important opportunity for the two sides to further strengthen political trust, set out a long-term vision and concretize the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership through specific programs, projects and outcomes, creating stronger momentum in economic, trade and investment cooperation and making science and technology, innovation and digital transformation new drivers of bilateral relations.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan attended the ceremony for the exchange of cooperation documents in healthcare, security, aviation, minerals and other fields between Viet Nam and France at the Elysee Palace, the official residence of the President of France. The ceremony was one of the key highlights of the visit, demonstrating the determination of the two countries to concretize commitments and cooperation orientations agreed at the highest level.
For the Ministry of Industry and Trade, its participation in and promotion of cooperation areas within the framework of the visit held practical significance in creating additional impetus for Viet Nam-France economic, trade and industrial relations, while opening up new cooperation opportunities among agencies, organizations and businesses of the two countries. Through bilateral cooperation mechanisms, Viet Nam and France have considerable room to expand economic relations in a balanced, effective and sustainable manner, particularly in areas where the two sides have strengths and complementary needs.

One of the notable activities of Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan during the visit was his attendance, together with Party General Secretary and President To Lam and the President of France, at a meeting with leaders of major corporations and enterprises from France and Viet Nam in Paris. The event brought together leaders of major businesses from the two countries, providing a platform for direct exchanges on cooperation, investment and business opportunities, as well as issues of concern to the business community.
