The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang; Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Son; Deputy Minister Luong Hoang Thai; Phan Van Ban, full-time Deputy Secretary of the Ministry’s Party Committee; and leaders of units under the Ministry.

At the ceremony, Tran Quang Huy, Director of the Department of Personnel and Organization, announced Decision No. 1836/QD-TTg dated September 24, 2026, under which the Prime Minister appointed Luong Hoang Thai, Director of the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam, as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Luong Hoang Thai was born in 1973 and is from Quang Ngai province. He holds an advanced degree in political theory, a bachelor’s degree in foreign trade economics and a master’s degree in international business. He has more than 30 years of experience in international economic integration and multilateral trade.

Addressing the ceremony, Party Committee Secretary and Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung said the appointment of Luong Hoang Thai recognized his experience, capabilities and contributions during his time at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. He said Thai had received systematic training, advanced through various positions at units under the Ministry, and earned recognition from the Ministry’s leadership, officials and civil servants.

According to Minister Le Manh Hung, the appointment of an additional Deputy Minister is a timely step to strengthen the Ministry’s leadership team, as the scope of the MoIT’s management continues to expand and the volume of work and requirements for coordination continue to increase, particularly in industry, trade, energy, geology and minerals, and international economic integration.

The Minister asked Luong Hoang Thai to uphold his sense of responsibility and bring his capabilities and experience into play, particularly his expertise in international economic integration, and work with the Ministry’s leadership to effectively carry out assigned tasks.

Upon receiving his new assignment, Deputy Minister Luong Hoang Thai said he had grown professionally in the field of international trade and had always received support and favorable conditions from colleagues and units. He said this support had provided an important foundation for him to fulfill his duties and earn recognition from the leadership.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that he would continue to make efforts, improve himself and draw on his experience to fulfill his assigned tasks. He also expressed his hope for continued attention and guidance from the Minister and other members of the Ministry’s leadership, as well as coordination and support from officials, civil servants and public employees across the Ministry.
