Miss Cosmo 2025 pays visit to Newspaper of Industry and Trade

Miss Cosmo 2025 Yolina Lindquist and First Runner-up Chelsea Fernandez visited the headquarters of the Newspaper of Industry and Trade in Hanoi.

On December 28, Miss Cosmo 2025 Yolina Lindquist and First Runner-up Miss Cosmo 2025 Chelsea Fernandez paid a visit and held an exchange with Newspaper of Industry and Trade. The visit was part of their post-coronation outreach to media organizations in Viet Nam, aiming to gain insights into the country’s mainstream press environment as well as the role of communications in economic and trade affairs and the international integration process.

Welcoming the delegation, Nguyen Van Minh, Editor-in-Chief of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, extended his warm greetings and appreciation for the visit. He briefed the Miss Cosmo representatives on several of the newspaper’s recent highlights, including its policy communication work and coverage of overseas working trips by leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam, notably the Minister’s recent visit to the United States, along with the paper’s expanding external relations and international cooperation activities.

During the meeting, the Editor-in-Chief introduced the history and development of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, underscoring the role of sectoral journalism in policy communication and its responsibility to deliver timely, accurate and official information. He emphasized that, alongside the growth of Viet Nam’s industry and trade sector from the early years following national independence through periods of war, post-war reconstruction and today’s phase of industrialization and international integration the newspaper has consistently accompanied economic development, contributing to public orientation and social consensus in the integration process.

In her remarks, Miss Cosmo 2025 Yolina Lindquist expressed her pleasure and appreciation at visiting a press agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam. She shared that she has completed four university degrees, including one in German language and three in economics-related fields. As a result, she holds a strong interest in economic journalism and its role in bridging policy and practice while conveying information to the public in a clear, accurate and responsible manner.

According to Yolina Lindquist, the visit helped her gain a deeper understanding of journalism activities in Viet Nam and offered valuable perspectives on the role of the media in promoting sustainable development, raising public awareness and spreading positive values in modern society.

Also speaking at the exchange, First Runner-up Miss Cosmo 2025 Chelsea Fernandez, who holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication, noted that amid the rapid expansion of digital media, mainstream journalism plays a particularly important role in safeguarding information accuracy and upholding professional standards. She praised the Industry and Trade Newspaper’s approach of closely aligning with its political mandate while vividly reflecting economic life and production and business activities across the country.

The meeting concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving a positive impression on Miss Cosmo 2025, her First Runner-up, and the staff and journalists of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, while reaffirming the role of industry and trade journalism in connecting information, people and external relations activities during Viet Nam’s integration process.

The visit followed the successful hosting of the Miss Cosmo International 2025 pageant in Viet Nam. Miss Cosmo 2025 Yolina Lindquist, 22, from the United States, graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University and is the founder of the Courage Over Cancer platform, which supports cancer research and patient connections. First Runner-up Chelsea Fernandez from the Philippines graduated in broadcast journalism and previously held the title of Miss Globe Philippines 2022.
