Lao Party General Secretary, President begins State visit to Vietnam

The State visit to Vietnam by Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and his spouse Naly Sisoulith, takes place on January 26-27, at the invitation of To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and his spouse.

Welcoming the Lao delegation at tge Noi Bai International Airport were Politburo members: Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien; Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; along with Party Central Committee Secretary and Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan. Also present were Party Central Committee members: Chairman of the Presidential Office Le Khanh Hai; Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Dai Thang; and Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam.

Accompanying General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse on the State visit to Vietnam are senior leaders of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the Lao Government, including Politburo members, Party Central Committee secretaries, deputy prime ministers, ministers, and leaders of key agencies and mass organizations, as well as the Lao Ambassador to Vietnam.
