The event followed Hung Vuong Hospital’s official receipt of the Labor Hero title on August 22, 2026. The recognition marks the contributions of generations of hospital officials, staff and employees to the institution’s development.
Tracing its origins to the former Cho Lon Maternity Home, Hung Vuong Hospital has served generations of women and families. The hospital is known for its expertise in obstetrics and gynecology, pregnancy and childbirth care, neonatal care and assisted reproductive medicine.

However, women’s healthcare needs extend far beyond pregnancy and childbirth. From puberty and reproductive age to fertility treatment, pregnancy, the postpartum period, pelvic floor disorders, perimenopause and menopause, each stage presents different healthcare needs.
Through the “Supporting Women Throughout Their Lives” campaign, Hung Vuong Hospital aims to build a continuum of care encompassing prevention, counseling, screening, diagnosis, treatment and long-term follow-up.
The campaign’s message, “Supporting Women,” reflects the hospital’s focus on putting women at the center of care. “Supporting” means not only protecting health through medical expertise, early detection of risks and timely intervention, but also helping women maintain peace of mind, freedom of choice and quality of life.
Building on its generations-long expertise in obstetrics and gynecology, the hospital continues to develop services in reproductive and gynecological healthcare, assisted reproduction and in vitro fertilization (IVF), high-risk pregnancy management, neonatal care, pelvic floor disorder treatment, and healthcare for women during perimenopause and menopause.
At each stage of life, the values that need to be protected are different, from the opportunity to become a mother and the safety of mothers and children to physical health, bodily function, confidence and quality of life.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Diem Tuyet, Director of Hung Vuong Hospital, said “Supporting women throughout their lives” is not merely a communications message but also a commitment to action by the hospital’s staff.
According to her, the hospital needs to continue advancing its medical expertise to meet increasingly comprehensive healthcare needs, connect services into a continuous care journey, apply technology to make healthcare more accessible, and build a service culture in which women remain at the center.
“We hope that when people think of Hung Vuong Hospital, they will not only remember a hospital with a long-standing tradition in obstetrics and gynecology, but also a modern and compassionate destination for comprehensive women’s healthcare,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Diem Tuyet said.
During the August 26 program, the hospital looked back at the August 22 ceremony at which it received the Labor Hero title through a video highlighting key milestones in its history. The presentation recognized the contributions of generations of officials, staff and employees.
Following the tribute, the program introduced the “Supporting Women Story,” combining patients’ real-life experiences with the professional perspectives of doctors and medical staff. The content highlighted the importance of continuous support, monitoring and timely medical intervention in women’s healthcare.
